She stooped and kissed his cheek. “Love you, Spence.” She winked at Kenna. “Night, honey.” Soon, Kenna and the other team members went to bed, and the only ones left were his dad, Tate, and himself.

Tate scooted his chair closer and said, “Cyber has an IP. It’s here in town, but it isn’t Colt’s address.”

“They’re sending me the physical address of the IP location in the morning. There were a couple more tests they wanted to run on it. They thought it was a business in town.”

“I thought we ruled out Kent.”

“We did. I don’t think it’s Kent’s address either. They would have said something. They know of our suspicions.”

His dad nodded. “I want to go with you when you find out who it is.”

Spencer chuckled. “Aren’t you on vacation or something?”

“I’m never on vacation when it concerns you or Dani, Spence.”

He stared into his dad’s eyes and nodded. “Thanks, Dad.”

His dad nodded, tipped his beer bottle and finished it, then stood and said, “Night, boys.”

Spencer leaned back in his chair and so did Tate. They rarely had time to chat like this anymore.

“Did you know you loved Lara right away?”

“Yep. I didn’t admit it to myself right away, though. I thought she was interested in you.”

He scoffed and drank down more of his beer. “She had eyes for you right away.”

Tate shrugged but said nothing.

“Are you happy?” He turned to look at his friend. “I mean, are you happily married and happy you married when you did?”

“Yes, to both. We’d like to have kids. We’re in our thirties and would like to start a family. I knew she was the one when I finally admitted it to myself. I didn’t see why we needed to wait.”

Spencer nodded. “Yeah.”

They sat in silence for a long time. Tate finally broke it. “Are you thinking about marriage?”

He turned his head and looked his friend in the eye. “She needs to decide if she’s staying here first. I don’t want to muddy that water. If I ask her to stay and she does, then in a few years, if she’s sorry and wants to leave, it will be because she wanted to make me happy. Not because she really wanted to be here.”

“Makes sense. Doesn’t make it easy, though.”

“Nope.” Spencer finished his beer. “I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is Howie’s funeral planning and my parents are here. I should get some sleep.”

“Sounds good. I’ll let you know as soon as Cyber gets back to me in the morning.”

“Thanks.”

He used the poker and moved the logs around and Tate found the jug of water to douse the fire. They stood in silence, watching it for a moment, then they turned quietly and entered the HOG. As they parted to go to their respective rooms, they waved, but said nothing. The house was quiet. Neither wanted to break that.

He slid into the room where Kenna slept and stepped across to the bathroom. Closing the door, he stripped his smoky smelling clothes off and jumped into the shower. Padding quietly to the bed, naked as the day he was born, he slid between the covers and snuggled Kenna’s naked body to his.

She rolled in his arms, her generous breasts pushed against his chest, and his cock came to life. She had that effect on him.

She giggled and her hand slid down his body and wrapped around his firm cock, pumping him slowly. Her lips kissed across his chest, he pushed into her hand firmly.

He was eager, not interested in foreplay. Sometimes it went that way. “I’m ready, honey.”

She giggled low in her belly. “Me too.”
