“Yeah, it’s good.”

“We have the IP address. It’s at a business in town called Networking Solutions.”

Her brows bunched together. She’d never heard of it. Spencer responded, “Okay.”

Tate continued, “So, we’ve pulled up the information on Networking Solutions and found it only has two employees, both of them owners. Daniel Juergensen and Ami Pearson.”

She gasped. Spencer turned in his seat and locked eyes with her. “Colt’s fiancée?”

She nodded.

Spencer responded to Tate. “Ami Pearson is Colt Lowe’s fiancée. We saw her in the store the other day.”

“Well, son of a bitch. I’ll get the sheriff out there to her business right away.”

Spencer added. “She just sent us pictures at the gravesite of us. So, if she isn’t at work, look for her car. Send Dad and me her car’s description so we can watch for her here at the church.”

“I’ll send that over now. I’d like to let the sheriff handle this, Spence. It’s not really something we’ve been asked to do, and the sheriff will have jurisdiction.”

Spencer replied, “We understand.”

“Okay. Out.”

Spencer heaved out a deep breath and jumped out of the truck. Her door opened and he reached in to help her down. Her legs were shaking, her mouth was dry and she held on to him for dear life.

His arms were powerful around her as he hurried them into the church. Inside, he turned and looked out the window for a long time before his parents finally entered.

Wyatt softly said, “She isn’t out there. Not in her vehicle, anyway.”

“Okay. Thanks, Dad.”

Spencer looked into her eyes. “Are you alright?”

“Yeah. It’s a relief actually. I’m scared of Colt. I’ve never been scared of Ami.”

“You won’t have to be scared of her ever again.”

She nodded and tried to smile, but she felt frozen in the information overload. They began descending the steps to the basement, and she murmured, “It makes sense.”

“What does, honey?”

“The direction of that first picture of me all beaten up. It came from the law office. Jessie, the receptionist there. I don’t know her married last name. She and Ami were friends throughout school and when I picked up papers to serve on Craig and Kent, Jessie made sure to tell me Colt was engaged to Ami. I’ll bet she took that picture and sent it to Ami.”

“That makes her an accomplice to stalking.”

At the bottom of the steps, she heaved out a big breath and located the table where her mom and brothers sat. The four of them hurried over to the table and Kenna sat with a plop before her wobbly knees gave out.

Her mom gasped slightly. “Kenna, are you alright? You’re pale as a ghost.”

“Yes. I’m fine. Just some bad news. It’ll be fine, Mama.”

Sean looked at her from across the table, his brows hidden behind his bangs. She merely shook her head to stave off questioning.

A commotion sounded at the top of the stairs and soon the sheriff and Officer Gordon ran down the stairs and into the room.

Sheriff hollered, “Everyone, please stay in your seats for a moment.”

Officer Gordon ran past and into the kitchen. A clatter of pans hitting the floor and a couple women yelling filtered out to the room and Spencer and Wyatt both jumped up to see what was going on. She watched as the sheriff said something, then nodded when he recognized Spencer.
