“And then there’s the way those animals treat women. No one’s more important to them than them. Some of them like to keep women as pets,” Makenna snaps as she crosses her arms over her chest.
“Why would you keep someone as a pet?” Gabby asks in a whisper.
“I’ve heard stories about Sean Kelly senior keeping women in a cage. He keeps them exposed, naked, and bound, so they can’t move. I’ve even heard stories about him hanging them up by their arms and binding their mouths shut so they can’t scream,” Holly says, her voice shaking.
“Oh my God,” Gabby breathes.
“They’re animals. Those bastards are after my sister,” Holly snarls, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.
“Well, it’s time for the Kelly’s to finally know what happens when you cross a Gallagher,” Makenna says with a smile. She’s fucking crazy on the best of days.
“So, you’re going to Indianapolis, but what’s going to happen when you get there? The Kelly’s are in Ireland, aren’t they?” Gabby asks.
“They are,” Denis replies. “But that’s fine. Callie’s uncle and his club are going to round them up. Not to mention, he’ll be working closely with Jerry Houlihan to ensure that no one escapes. It’s time for the Kelly house to fall.” Callie is Denis’ wife, the woman he loves and will do anything for, including killing his ex-wife, who tried to have Callie and her unborn twins murdered.
“The plane leaves in two hours. Don’t be late,” Makenna tells us. “We all know this is serious. Chloe’s life hangs in the balance. The sooner we’re in Indianapolis, the better. We have the full force of the Gallo, Bianchi, and Gallagher family behind us. Callie’s brothers are in town, and let me tell you, Maverick and Stephen are ready to go hunting.”
For the first time since finding out Chloe’s missing, I smile. Hunting is exactly what I’m going to be doing the moment we hit town. In just under four hours, I’ll be in Indianapolis. I know my brothers are going to have my back and relay any and all information to me. Which gives me the chance to find out what the fuck is going on. Kelvin will be more inclined to speak freely when I’m alone.
Four hours and counting.
I’m going to get Chloe back.
No fucking doubts about it. I’ll tear down the entire city until I find her if I have to.

“What’s the plan?”Ace questions once we land in Indianapolis. All the brothers wanted to come with, but we couldn’t leave the clubhouse vulnerable. With the Bianchi’s, Gallagher’s and us out of state, it wouldn’t take much for our enemies to try and take our patch. That’s not going to happen, hence why only six of us are here and the rest have remained at home.
“I’m goin’ to catch up with Kelvin. He’ll be more open if I’m alone.”
He nods. “We’ll follow the Gallagher’s back to their base. Anythin’ we find out, we’ll let you know.”
“Sounds good,” I say with a crack of my neck. I’m eager to get going.
“I want Mayhem, Raptor, and Preacher to head into the city. Find out what you can. This bullshit of no one speaking is gonna stop. I don’t give a fuck what you have to do, make them speak. We gotta know where Chloe is.”
May grins his shark’s grin, and the scar on his jawline deepens as he does. “That, I can do. Don’t worry, bro, we’re gonna find her and rain holy fuckin’ hell on whoever has her.”
I nod. “Call me if you have news,” I tell them as I notice a dark Escalade idling nearby. I already know who it is. He’s been waiting for me since we touched down. “I’m on my cell.”
“Go,” Ace tells me. “Call me if you need us.”
I get that he’s uneasy. Kelvin is an unknown to him. For me, he’s the man who saved my life when I was too fucking stupid to know any different. Both Kelvin and I managed to get out of the shit we were in when we were teens. Now, we’ve both found where we’re meant to be.
I walk over to the idle vehicle and climb in.
“You good?” Kelvin asks the moment the door closes.
I nod. “I’d be better if I knew where Chloe was.”
I get that my reaction to this entire situation is beyond fucked up. I only met the girl once, but that was all it took for me to be completely fucked up over her. I haven’t wanted to go find another woman to fuck. The mere thought pissed me off. How can one woman change everything? The moment I discovered her missing, it was like a switch flicked in my mind. She was out of my sight and taken. That won’t happen again. I’ll make sure that the moment I get her back, she’s with me, where I know she’ll be safe.
Kelvin nods. “I understand that, which is why I have news for you,” he tells me. His thick English accent is thick and has a bite to it.
“Tell me,” I grit out, knowing that whatever the fuck it is, it’s going to be bad.
“From the very little intel I have managed to get, we’re looking at some major players. One’s that are fucking good at keeping their shit together—which is fucking unusual because everyone talks. They smell a hint of money or leverage, and they spill. Not in this case though. Which means that whoever has her is very close knit. They don’t let outsiders in and keep to themselves.”
