Her words are the last thing I hear as I drift off to sleep. I pray that no nightmares will come, but I don’t have much hope.

“I love you, Chloe. Rest, my sweet girl.”

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

PYRO

Kelvin and I follow behind the Gallagher’s as they walk into an old, rustic, run-down building. The windows are boarded up, and the sign on the building says Tooter’s Inn. It was a bar, now it’s deserted. Glancing around, I see empty lots. It’s as though this is the forgotten land of Indianapolis. Then again, it’s outside of the city limits, and it’s easy for places like this to just wilt away.

The Gallagher men are definitely not people you want to mess with. Denis, Danny, Malcolm, Hayden, Hayes, and Finn. Not to mention both Makenna and Jade. The Gallagher’s are ready for revenge. No one touches their family and gets away with it.

“You ready for this?” Kelvin asks with a smirk. The fucker’s loving this. He’s able to get close to the action without fully getting involved, and having the Dirty Demons die means it’s one less headache for him to deal with.

“Never been readier,” I respond as I crack my neck from side to side.

“You think they’ll let you have a crack at any of the fuckers?” Ace questions as he sidles up beside us. “If the tables were turned, we wouldn’t.”

He’s right, we wouldn’t. But the difference is, Chloe is my woman, and I’m the one who found her. Had it not been for the intel Kelvin gave me, fuck knows when we would have found her.

“I’m taking Crunk out,” I snarl. “That cunt is mine.” He’s the one who hurt her, and I have a feeling that he’s the one who inflicted the most pain on her.

Kelvin nods. “Matthew is a fucking bastard. The bastard got the name Crunk because he’s always high. Rumor has it that he gets so off his face, he turns into a fucking cannibal.”

There’s not a lot that has me questioning people, but finding out that the man who had my woman locked up is a fucking cannibal, sure is one of those times. “How the fuck is he still alive?”

Kelvin shrugs. “When you have the majority of cops in your pocket, you can get away with a fuck of a lot. Not to mention, when you’re the Vice-President of the biggest motorcycle club in the city, people tend to be afraid and won’t go to the cops. Even if they did, he’d get away with it.”

“It’s always good to have friends in high places,” Ace grunts. “But fuck, the club should have put him down the first time he ate a human. Cunts. Lettin’ someone like that run around the city.”

Having someone like Crunk be a part of the club is a huge no-no. The fucker would bring heat to the club, and that’s something no one wants. At the first sign of his fucked-up behavior, he should have been axed. Putting him down would have done the world a favor. Now, I get to be the one to do so.

“Don’t worry, Pyro,” Makenna calls out, her voice filled with laughter. “You can take him out. There are enough Dirty Demons to go around.”

Jade laughs. “It’s always the moody ones who are the killers.”

“Coming from the Chicago Mangler, that’s something,” Kelvin quips.

I bark out a laugh when Jade flips him the bird. It’s the worst kept secret in the world. Jade was sexually assaulted and beaten when she went to prison. When she was released, the men who assaulted her were killed off one-by-one. Each man died by having their dicks either cut or burnt off. The killings stopped when all the men involved were dead. However, someone was arrested for the murders and is currently awaiting trial. There’s enough evidence on the woman to send her down for life. Jade is fucking cunning and someone you don’t want to mess with.

Which again bodes the question: Why the fuck would anyone go after Chloe? The Dirty Demons know the reputation the Gallagher’s have, along with their connections. You’d be a fucking fool to go after them. Yet here we are. These fuckers went after Chloe, and now, there’s not going to be a single Dirty Demon alive when we’re finished with them.

Entering the derelict bar with Ace and Kelvin at my side, we look around and see the place is bare. Not a fucking thing inside. Hell, even the bar is gone.

“I appreciate that you left your brothers at home,” Denis says roughly. The man is barely able to contain his emotions. I get it. His daughter has been fucking tortured and he’s out for revenge.

It’s something that didn’t go down well with our brothers. They didn’t want to leave their prez and vice president, but there was no other choice. The Gallagher’s are dealing with this solely themselves. No outsiders. Which means none of their spouses are allowed to join in the fun, but the courtesy was extended to me and, in turn, Ace. Kelvin doesn’t give a fuck. He was coming one way or another. But as he was the one who uncovered the information as to where Chloe was being held, Denis offered him a front row seat to the Dirty Demons’ deaths.

“We understand that you wanted this kept within the family, but we’re thankful you let us come,” Ace responds.

Denis gives me a sharp look. “I have a feeling had I not allowed Pyro to join us, the fucker would have found a way to either be here or take out every fucker before we could.”

I merely smile. I would have leveled the place, that’s for sure.

“I still want to know how the fuck he knows Chloe,” Danny snarls, his eyes glinting with an angry gleam. “Far as I knew, my sister didn’t have a man, and all of a sudden, you’re all over her like a rash.”

“This isn’t the place,” Denis says sharply. “We’ll sort that shit out afterwards. Right now, we’re focusing on your sister being safe.”

Danny glares at me but doesn’t say anything. I, however, smirk at him. I’m not frightened of him or his family.
