“Alright,” he replies. He already knew what I was going to say. “Carry on.”
“Thanks,” I respond dryly. I press the prod against his chest a little too close to his heart. Crunk’s body once again shakes with the electricity. I pull back and look at him. His eyes are vacant, his body twitching still, but I have a feeling that he’s dead. I move toward him and press my fingers against his throat and wait. No pulse. Fuck.
“Cunt’s heart gave out,” I snarl, pissed that he’s dead.
“How impolite,” Makenna quips. “But you got your wish, Pyro. You killed the fucker.”
I did, but it doesn’t feel like it should. Killing that cunt should feel good. I should feel relieved that Chloe’s safe, but I don’t. There’s something in my gut that says this isn’t over yet.
“Let’s get this done,” Makenna says. “The sooner they’re dead, the sooner we get back to Chloe.”
As though they’re in sync, the Gallagher’s move, their knives out, and they slice through the Demons’ throats. Within seconds, the Demons are dead.
“What about the president?” Kelvin questions. He stood back and watched everything happen.
“That fucker is going to burn in Hell. He’ll die while this building burns to ashes,” Denis says. “Danny and Mal will ensure that all that’ll be left of this place is embers.”
I nod. “Alright, it’s time to go. There’s nothin’ left here for us.”
“Go. Get showered and meet us at the house.”
I nod and turn to Ace, just as Denis’ cell rings.
“Yeah?” he answers, his accent thick and heavy. “What the fuck? Where is he?” Everyone stills, wondering what’s happened now. That fucking feeling in my gut is intensifying. “Fucking find him, Butch. Find him.” He ends the call, and I see the anger in his blue eyes. The man is raging.
“What’s happened, Da?” Danny asks, his entire body tense as a bow.
“That was Butch,” he begins. Butch is the president of the Devil Falcons in Ireland. He’s also Callie Gallagher’s uncle. The man who’s holding Sean Kelly while we’re dealing with this shit here. “Sean killed Hades. The guy was standing guard. Sean managed to get the jump on him and killed Hades in the process.”
“Fuck,” I snarl. “Has Butch any clue as to where he may have gone?”
“They’re going to find him. I’m heading back to the house now. I need to talk to Callie,” he says, his gaze is on his cell as he furiously types a message. “I’ll see you back there,” he tells me. “Danny Boy, Mal, get this place burnt to the ground.”
His sons nod in agreement as Ace, Kelvin, Denis, and I step out of the room.
“What’s goin’ to happen with Chloe? There’s no fuckin’ way she can go back to Ireland while that cunt is on the loose,” I say. I’m not going to let her go without that bastard being caught.
“I’m going to talk with my wife,” he says as he pulls on his shirt. “Shower, get rid of the blood, and go see my daughter.”
Ace slaps my back and nods toward the exit.
“That man is ready to fucking explode,” Kelvin says once we’re in the truck. “I think he has a plan for what to do with his daughter and brother. He trusts you.”
Ace nods in agreement. “He does. I know the Gallagher’s, and they’re all about family. You’ve proven that you’re all for Chloe, and he respects that.”
I sit back in my seat and wonder what the fuck we’re going to do next.
“Kelvin, do you have any contacts in Ireland?” We’re going to need someone who’ll be able to find the cunt for us.
“I know a few guys, but they’re going to be already on it. Emanuel works with Jerry Houlihan, and he’s also Callie’s uncle. Honestly, brother, everyone who can be trying to find Sean Kelly, is. It didn’t take them long to find him the last time. They’ll find him again,” Kelvin tells me as he sends a message on his cell. “But I can have the twins go down from Belfast and help out.”
I nod. “Do it.”
The twins are unknowns. They have no affiliations to anyone but will work with Kelvin because they have worked with him a lot in the past. They trust him to some extent.
I just hope that Sean Kelly will be found soon. The longer that fucker’s walking the streets, the more of a threat there is to Chloe.
