I should have known there was something more.

“Shoot,” Ace says, his legs braced apart as he leans against the wall.

Denis looks at me. “You serious about my daughter?”

I don’t acknowledge that shit with an answer.

“I take that as a yes.” Denis grins. “But Chloe’s not leaving. This is her home. Her family’s here.”

I clench my jaw. Christ. Tell me something I don’t know.

“I know. She’s got her family here, and my club and brothers are in New York.” I’m not sure how this is going to go.

“What if we said we have the solution, where you won’t lose your brothers or club, and my daughter doesn’t have to leave Ireland?”

I glance at Ace and see him narrow his eyes. “How’s that gonna work?”

“We have property here, something that would work for a clubhouse once renovated. I know it’s going to take a club vote, but if you want, the Fury Vipers could have a Dublin Chapter, with Pyro as president. That way, no one loses anything.”

The shock of his words hits me. Have the club and Chloe? Fuck. I want that. I never thought I’d be president, but fuck, I want this.

“Give us time to put this to a vote and we’ll let you know. How long do you think this’ll take to set up?”

Butch looks to Denis, who’s grinning. “Knowing my wife, about six to eight months. The abandoned warehouse we own isn’t derelict or in dire need of repairs. It’s just making it livable.”

“We’ll let you know,” Ace says as he moves away from the wall and holds out his hand for Butch to shake. “I appreciate the plan. Knowin’ my brothers, you could get it set in motion.”

I’m utterly fucking speechless. Never once did I think this could be an option.

I’m quiet as we say our goodbyes to the Falcons and return to Denis’ house. The moment we’re in the house, Ace pulls me aside.

“I’m flyin’ back with Preach and Raptor tomorrow. Once I’m home, we’ll take a vote. Is this what you want?” he questions, but he already knows.

“I want this.”

He nods. “We’ll take a vote and let you know. You focus on your woman. Get her back to full health. We’ve got your back.”

Christ. I’m a lucky bastard to have people go to bat for me. This is why I love the club, love my brothers. I would never turn my back on them, and having a chapter here in Ireland would mean I wouldn’t be doing that.

I want this. For me. For Chloe. For my brothers.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

CHLOE

Four days later

“Nice apartment,” James says as he carries our bags into the flat.

“It’s da’s. It’s not been used in a while. Usually, Danny, Melissa, and the girls use it when they come over. Our house gets a little crowded, especially if Malcolm, Raylee, and their four kids are here too.” My brothers adore their wives and kids and tend not to go anywhere without them unless they absolutely have to.

James’ eyes glance over the room, taking everything in. “He’s letting us stay here?”

I nod. “Da wants us to be comfortable while we’re here.” I think he and Ma don’t want to know what happens between us. It’s easier if we’re away to pretend that we’re not intimate.

I adore my parents and love them even more for being so cool with having Pyro. I know that it has to be hard for them, what with how much things have changed in such a short space of time. But they’re taking it in their stride, and I love them so much for that.

“How are you feelin’, baby?”
