He’s still bossy as ever, and I really love the protective and caring side of him.

He comes back with a wash rag and cleans me. God, can he get any more perfect?

Once he’s finished, he lies beside me, comforting me in his embrace before tugging the sheets over us both. “Sleep,” he instructs softly.

It doesn’t take me long to drift off. While I’m mostly recovered from what happened to me in the Dirty Demon’s basement, I find myself still getting tired easily, and being thoroughly fucked by James is a sure fire way to send me to sleep.

I’m roused awake by a ringing sound. I stir, my eyes opening slightly. The bedroom is dimly lit, the only light coming from the streetlights outside. I turn to my right and see that James isn’t in bed with me any longer.

I reach for his t-shirt that’s discarded on the edge of the bed and slip it on as I pad through the flat in search of him. It doesn’t take me long to find him. The lamp in the sitting room is on, and I see that he’s seated on the sofa with his phone in his hand and his gaze on the TV that’s not on.

“Hey,” I say softly, unsure of what’s going on. “Is everything okay?”

He turns to face me, his eyes soft as he takes me in. “Yeah, baby, that was Ace.”

I tentatively take a step toward him, wondering if it’s time for him to return home.

“Yeah?” I say, stronger than I feel.

“That was him tellin’ me that all four chapters have voted on whether or not we start a new one here in Dublin.”

I hate that I can’t decipher his mood. He’s got a great poker face. He’d be great playing in the casinos here. He’d be rich within a week. I swallow as I kneel in front of him, my hands itching to touch him, but I’m just so scared. What if this isn’t how we want it to be? What if he hasn’t got the go ahead and they demand that he returns to New York instantly? He’s the Vice President of the Fury Vipers. That’s not something he can just walk away from.

“And?” I ask as I wait on baited breath for his answer.

“You’re lookin’ at the new president of the Fury Vipers Dublin Chapter.”

I stare at the man I love in complete shock and awe.

“Really?” I whisper, unable to believe that he’s going to be staying here with me.

He nods. “Your granny Nicola’s apparently already sorted out my Visa, and your mom and grandad’s got the ball rolling on sortin’ the warehouse out. Accordin’ to Ace, it’ll be ready to go in about six months.”

“Oh my god.” Tears sting my eyes as I watch my man’s smile grow wider than I have ever seen it. “James.”

“Told you, baby, I ain’t ever lettin’ you go.”

I launch myself off the floor and into his arms. “I love you.”

His arms tighten around me as he presses a kiss against my lips. I can’t help but deepen it, happier than I have ever been. James’ hands slide down my body until they’re kneading my arse cheeks. I adjust myself so that I’m straddling his lap, our tongues battling one another and fighting for control. My own hands roam his muscled shoulders and arms. They’re so solid, and I couldn’t think of a better feeling than to be held in his strong embrace. James breaks the kiss, and a small whimper escapes my lips as he cups my face in his hands and looks into my eyes.

“I love you so much,” he says. I smile, closing my eyes as he leans in and kisses me.

“I love you too.”

He unsnaps his button, and his cock springs free. I grin at him, my heart still pounding in my chest as he looks at me with such love, I know I’ll never get tired of seeing it.

I’ve found my happy ever after.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

PYRO

Six weeks later

“Welcome back, brother,” Ace says as he raises his beer bottle. His woman is on his lap, his hand resting on her stomach that nestles their unborn baby.

It’s been six weeks since Chloe and I found out that I’d be staying in Ireland, and my life has changed for the better. It’s been constant on the go, getting everything ready for the clubhouse to be in condition for Chloe and I to move into.
