“It’s good to see you,” I say honestly. I never thought that this clubhouse wouldn’t be home to me, but it’s not anymore. Living in Ireland with my woman is more than I could have ever asked for. Chloe’s my everything, and her family have given me a chance to have everything that matters to me without losing it all.

“Happiness looks good on you,” Eda says with a smile. “She makes you happy, and Pyro, that’s all we’ve ever wanted. We all love her.”

“Good,” I say, bringing the bottle to my lips. I couldn’t give a fuck if they didn’t, but it makes things easier knowing they do.

In the past six weeks, Chloe and I have grown closer. She’s told me all about her childhood and about Zoe. Christ, that woman should be fucking glad she’s dead. If she wasn’t, I’d have done the deed myself. The way she treated Chloe, manipulated her, made her feel like shit about herself, she’s a cunt, and I’m glad that Denis beat the bitch to death.

I did something I never thought I’d do. I gave Chloe everything about my past. From my parents’ death due to a car accident to the shit I did as a stupid teen. Hell, I even told her something that only Jaws knew I did. I told her about what I did to save Hayley from Carter. I was sure my woman would be disgusted, but instead, she told me I did the right thing. That I saved my sister and niece from a life of abuse. I gave them both a fresh chance at life with my actions.

I pray that as our lives grow older, Chloe’s pureness never evaporates. I fucking love her sweetness and caring side. It’s a stark contrast to some of the darkness that we live in.

“You spoke to Raptor?” Ace asks as Chloe comes to sit on my lap.

“No. Why? What’s happened?” I haven’t spoken to him in a week or so. Last I heard, he was on a run with Wrath.

“He’ll tell you himself,” Ace grunts as he nods toward the door. Out walks the man himself, along with Wrath, Hayley, and Shadow.

“What you wanna tell me?” I say loud enough for Rapt to hear me.

“I’m movin’,” he says with a grin. “You’re gonna need a VP.”

Fuck me. That was something I never thought I’d hear. But then again, his woman is in Ireland. From what Chloe said, once we finished with Sean, Raptor and Mallory had a night together before he came back home. I guess she left a lasting impression.

“The brothers have voted.” Eda smiles. “He’s your VP.”

Chloe hops off my lap and squeals. She’s happy that her friend will have her man, and that I’ll have my best friend, a brother, with me.

“Oh, that’s not all,” Hayley says, wringing her hands together. “Me and Eva are coming with. Over the past six weeks, James, we’ve missed you, and Ireland seems like a great place to raise a child.”

I get to my feet, knowing how much of a hard decision this must have been for my sister. Our parents are buried here. This is her home. This is Eva’s home. Upping sticks and leaving isn’t something to be taken lightly.

“You sure about this, Hay? I’m only a flight away. It’s not like we’re never going to see each other.”

My sister smiles at me. “Chloe’s the first friend I’ve had in years, James,” she whispers so that only I can hear her. When Chloe was here recuperating, her and Hayley got close. They also talk at least once a day since we’ve been gone. “Not to mention, you’re there. I want to have my family where yours is. And from everything Chloe’s said about her family, Eva’s going to have cousins.”

“That she will,” I promise her. “As long as you’re happy, Hay, that’s all I want.”

She gives me a bright smile. “I’ve already sorted everything out. We’re flying out with you.”

I pull my sister into my arms, grateful that she’s taken this huge step but knowing that it’s the right one for her and for my niece.

“Wrath’s also goin’,” Ace says, his voice not angry or disappointed. In fact, he sounds happy.

My brows knit together. “He is?”

Wrath is my brother, and I’ll always have love for him, but we’re not as close as some of the other brothers are. So him wanting to come to Ireland is definitely a shock.

“He’s got a couple warrants out for his arrest. He’s leaving tonight,” Ace tells me. “We need him to be gone, otherwise he’s lookin’ at doin’ hard time.”

Now I’m even more confused than I was before, but when I look at my sister, I see guilt seep into her eyes. Something’s gone down, and I want to know what the fuck it is.

“He’s more than welcome,” I tell them. He’s my brother. I’ll do anything to keep him out of jail. “It’s a good start, and he’ll be able to help us recruit more members.”

Wrath gives me a chin lift and heads back into the clubhouse, no doubt to pack a bag and get the hell out of dodge. Hayley trails behind him. I should have known that something would have gone down between the two of them. I just hope he won’t hurt her.

I retake my seat and pull Chloe back onto my lap.

“What’s happenin’ with Preach?” I question. Whenever I speak with him, he tells me everything’s under control.
