“Your name’s Ritz?”

“Yep.”

“Why?”

Knowing I didn’t need to answer because she’d never remember it in the morning, I moved on. “What’s your name, sweetheart?”

“Rachel.”

“Rachel,” I repeated, enjoying how it rolled off my tongue. “Who are you here with, Rachel?”

“Jane.” She grinned and leaned in close. “Who are you with?”

I smirked. “You now.”

“Ahh, you’re the smooth one in the group.” Her eyes slid over my body until they met mine again. “I wondered how you fit in.”

I couldn’t stop grinning. This girl was interesting to me, and that didn’t happen often. “What do you mean?”

She laid her hand on my chest. “Well, Tank’s the sexy one. Bear’s the intense one. Race is the nice one.” She jerked her head in the direction of Bull. “He’s the scary one.” She ran her hand around my side to lay against my ribs. “So you must be the smooth one.”

Blaze stepped up beside me. “Hey, man, I see you talking to my girl.”

I watched Rachel, wondering how she’d respond now that I knew her a little better. I wasn’t disappointed when she finally spoke.

“Your girl?” She arched her eyebrow. “Did I agree to that?”

He smirked. “Not yet.”

She wrapped her arm around my waist and pressed her body tight against mine. “I’m going to see if Ritz is as smooth as he seems. But if I’m disappointed, maybe I’ll come find you.”

Blaze took a step closer, and she had no idea she just issued him a challenge. Before she could say more to make it worse for herself later, I bent my knees and lifted her over my shoulder. “Time to go.”

She laughed, and I only shook my head when catcalls rang out behind me while I walked her to the clubhouse. She was done for the night. I couldn’t leave her out there with the guys because as obvious as it was to me that she was just being flirty, with the amount they had to drink, they wouldn’t see it that way.

I was just moving past the kitchen when I heard Tank’s voice. Stopping, I looked in and saw Jane sitting on his lap. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Just getting her away from the feeding frenzy, brother.”

“Jane, I’m not saying now.” Rachel hollered from where she hung over my shoulder.

Jane giggled. “Me neither.”

“What the fuck does that mean?” Ritz asked, but Tank only shrugged. “I’m putting her in my room.”

I didn’t wait for an answer before I continued down the hall and headed for the stairs leading to the second-floor bedrooms. I had a room here that I used when I first joined but didn’t as much anymore since I got an apartment of my own. I liked my own space and realized that quickly after living with a group of men.

I dropped her to her feet and held her while I dug the key from my pocket and unlocked the door. She wrapped her arms around my neck and placed her lips against my ear. “Maybe you’re the sexy one too.”

I pushed open the door and walked us inside, kicking it closed with my booted foot. “Think it’s time to call it a night.”

With her arms still around me, she faced the room. “Is this your room?”

“When I’m here,” I acknowledged.

She smiled and shifted to press her body tight against mine again. “You feel good. Not like Mark.”

My eyebrows rose. “Who’s Mark?”
