“My boyfriend.” She sighed. “I think he has a girlfriend, though.”

I tilted my head. “A girlfriend?”

“Yeah.” She frowned. “He spends a lot of time out of town.” She slid her body along mine, and my cock started to throb. My body didn’t care that she had a boyfriend, not when she was this close. “But now I have you.”

“I don’t share, sweetheart.”

Her smile dropped, and her lips formed something of a pout. “What does that mean?”

“That means while you’re fucking someone else, you’re not fucking me.”

She seemed confused when she spoke. “You’re kidding, right?”

“Nope.”

“I don’t know anyone who does that,” she admitted. “No man anyway.”

That was sad and told me a hell of a lot about her life and what she expected from the men in it. “You do now.”

I felt her arms loosen, and she slowly dropped them until only her hands lay against my chest. I kept my arms around her waist, though, not quite ready to lose her. “Is this just your way of telling me you’re not attracted to me?”

Jesus, this girl has met some shitty men in her life. Smirking, I pressed her tight against me until I was sure she felt my hardness against her belly. When her eyes flared with heat, I was positive. “Feel that?” She swallowed hard and nodded. “That feel like I’m not attracted to you?”

“No,” she admitted.

With one more squeeze, I pushed her back for my sanity. “You take the bed.”

She glanced over her shoulder and looked at the bed. “Where are you going to sleep?”

“Couch.”

Her eyes met mine again. “You don’t even want to share a bed?”

I laid my hand against her hip and dropped my head until my lips were right above hers. She wasn’t hearing what I was telling her. I had no idea if that was because she was drunk or because of her experiences, so I would give it to her as bluntly as I could. “I get in that bed with you and feel your body against mine, I’m gonna break my rules.” I dropped my head so I could feel the soft skin of her neck against my nose when I slid it up to her ear. “And Ineverbreak my rules.”

A shiver rocked her body before she softly whispered, “Maybe you never met someone worth breaking them for.”
