Bear chuckled. “You got it.” He slapped his hand against the counter. “We’re gonna go get our shit ready. Meet you outside in fifteen.”
“Yep,” I replied and watched them leave the kitchen. We finished our sandwiches silently before throwing our plates in the garbage can, but I stopped her before we left the kitchen. “You sure you want to go?”
“Yeah.” She smiled. “I think it sounds fun. Unless you don’t want to.”
I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her against me. “Not much sounds better than getting you on the back of my bike.”
She tilted her head. “Why? Is that a motorcycle club thing?”
“For some.” I acknowledged. “For me, it’s just about you sitting close, holding on tight, and the purr of the engine under us. You’ve never ridden before, though, and this is gonna be a long ride. You okay with that?”
She slid her hands up my chest and linked them around my neck. “I’m not afraid, not as long as you’re with me.”
An ache settled in my chest when she said those words, and I leaned down to kiss her softly. If I deepened it, we’d never leave, and I was really looking forward to the ride. She followed me back to the room, where she took a fast shower, and we got dressed. She pulled on a long-sleeve shirt and jacket while I did the same.
Grabbing her hand, I dragged her along with me down the stairs and out to the garage where Josie and Bear were waiting, enjoying the sound of her laughter. “Are you in a hurry?”
“Ready?” Bear asked.
“Yeah.” I pulled a helmet from the shelf in the garage and walked back to Jane. “Gotta wear this, princess.”
She shrugged. “Okay.”
I slid it on her head and smiled as I hooked the chin strap. I was excited to share this part of myself with her. I hadn’t shared it with many, and for some reason, the women I’d had on the back of my bike before Jane faded away. I grabbed my helmet and slid it on but balanced the front on my forehead so my face was still out. Then I swung my leg over the bike and started it up.
Pointing at the seat behind me, I gave Jane instructions. “Put your foot on that peg and swing your leg over.”
She listened closely before nodding. “Okay.”
She followed my directions and slid in tight against me before winding her arms around my waist.
I glanced over my shoulder. “Don’t let go. If you need anything, just tap me on the shoulder.”
“Okay,” she called out as if I couldn’t hear her. “Anything else?”
“Just have fun.”
She smiled. “Gotcha.”
Pulling my helmet over my face, I jerked up my chin in Bear’s direction, and he took off with us following closely behind him.
He’d been right. It was a perfect day for a ride.
But nothing felt better than the woman behind me with her arms around my waist and her laughter in my ear.

I was nervous,and I didn’t get fucking nervous. Walking her to her car on Sunday afternoon pissed me off because we hadn’t discussed anything. I had no idea what was in her head or if she’d made a decision, and she wasn’t offering that information.
We’d spent all day Saturday and most of the night with Bear and Josie. We didn’t roll in until about one in the morning, and we barely made it to my room before we were all over each other. I couldn’t seem to stop myself, and neither could she. It was almost as if now that we had a taste, we craved each other.
When I woke up this morning to her rolling on top of me and sliding my cock into her heat, I’d wrapped my arms around her as tight as I could. We held on to each other, and she moved her body with an intensity she hadn’t the other times. It was like she was trying to memorize each stroke, each slide of our hands over naked skin, and the longer she stared into my eyes, the faster my heart pounded. She was amazing, and she had no idea—no matter how many times I whispered it in her ear throughout the weekend.
Standing beside her vehicle, she opened the back door, and I set her bags inside. She closed it softly and rolled her lips together. I waited, knowing patience always won out when it came to Jane.
