GreenEyedKing96: Really good so far, got to meet the woman I’ll be working with.

Ben paused before replying, mulling over his response.
GreenEyedKing96:She’s definitely going to be a distraction that’s for sure.
There was a long pause where he saw those three dots that signaled she was typing, then they disappeared. They appeared again and then disappeared. Then nothing for a good five minutes and he wondered what she was doing.
GoodGirlKay:I’m not sure how I feel about you getting a girlfriend, who will I talk to until the sun comes up?
GreenEyedKing96:I don’t think you need to worry about that just yet. Anyway no one could replace you xx
GoodGirlKay:Aw, you type the sweetest things.
Ben snorted again and went into his kitchen to grab a bag of chips and another beer. When he came back she had messaged again.
GoodGirlKay:What does she look like?
GoodGirlKay:Anything like me?
GoodGirlKay:Sorry, that sounded weird…
GoodGirlKay:Dang it.
GoodGirlKay:Howdo you delete a message you’ve sent?
Ben’s smile split his face.
GreenEyedKing96:You can’t. Enough about my new co-worker. How was your day?
GoodGirlKay:Good. I’ve been back to work; I took a week’s break after the attack-slash-most-humiliating moment of my life.
GreenEyedKing96:I missed you while you were gone. How was it being back at work?
GoodGirlKay:Good, nice to be back, I do love that place. And got to meet the new guy.
Ben paused, he wanted to ask what she thought but also felt like he might not have made the best impression on her so far. It would hurt his feelings if she then complained about him to himself.
Then again, he was a sadist at heart.
