“Now you,” he said.

She spluttered. “I already went!”

“You admitted you liked gaming, so did I. Then you asked for a secret and I gave you one, so the way I see it, we’re two for one on this vulnerable confessions thing.” He sidled over to her and perched against the table, putting them at roughly the same height. “Care to even the score?” His scent and heat invaded her space, driving her senses wild.

“I signed up for pole dancing but I’m too scared to go,” she blurted out.

He arched a brow and shifted slightly. “Why?”

“What do you mean, why? Look at me,” she gestured to herself. His eyes ran a lazy trail from head to foot, lingering over her hips and she took another pull from her beer to refresh her suddenly parched mouth.

“I try not to, but I can’t seem to help myself,” he sighed.

“I’m not sexy and I couldn’t be if I tried,” she snorted.

He choked on his beer before eyeing her again. “Dance for me.”

Her pulse pounded in her ears at his words. “What?”

“Right now.”

She scoffed. “Hell no, besides there’s no pole!”

“You don’t need the pole. Come on, what’s the worst that could happen? You’ll feel embarrassed or it could get awkward? We’ll both get over it. No one will die.”

No one will die,her brain repeated.

This was very true. How was she actually considering this? What was it about him that had her throwing caution into the wind every time he asked her to?

“Just dance like the bad girl you are.”

The way he saidbad girlhad her blood heating, nerves and impulses zapping through her. Was she really going to do this? This would be the craziest thing she’d ever done. But if she couldn’t dance for him alone then how could she do it in a room full of other people? She took a large swig of her beer and then tentatively set it on the edge of the pool table. She took his cue from him, their eyes locked together as she tossed it onto the table. Was she crazy or did she see something dangerous in those jade depths?

He widened his legs, giving her access to get closer. An invitation and she accepted, gratefully. She stepped between his legs, putting them face to face. Nose to nose. Mouth to mouth. Barely a whisper apart.

“Just imagine some sensual music,” he whispered, his eyes on her lips and she felt his breath like a caress over her skin, her eyes nearly rolling back in her head.

“Like what?”

“It’s your dance, bad girl. It can be whatever you want it to be. What song is playing for you right now?”

She thought about it then;“Down In Mexico, The Coasters.”

“Deathproof,” he breathed.

Her eyes snapped to his. He knew that? “Butterfly. She’s so sensual, there’s this scene...” Her words stuttered from her, not making sense but her brain was powering down, her body gearing up to take over. Her fight or flight instinct was kicking in.

He shook his head, chuckling, the sound dark and promising. “Goddamn I’m so happy I’m a Tarantino fan.”

“You are?”

He nodded, then pressed his finger to her lip, ending her stalling.

Silence.

Then the song began in her head and her hips took over. She rolled, she writhed and inched herself closer and closer until she rubbed against him. She heard him swallow, felt him tense as she moved over him. Then she felt him harden.

The power shot through her veins and her inhibitions disappeared along with Kayleigh 2.0 until she was justKayleigh. She grabbed his hands and ran them over her body, around her hips, under the material of her shirt and across her stomach. His hard calloused hands gliding across her soft skin had her biting her lip. She removed his hands from under her shirt and trailed them up to graze the sides of her breasts. His breathing grew labored in her ear and he brought one hand up to clasp her throat as his lips brushed her ear, his hot breath teasing the shell before his tongue slid along the sensitive skin and she quivered in pleasure. She bent at the waist and rocked her hips before she stood up, flipping her hair back and eyeing him over her shoulder.
