“Ohshit,”she groaned. The curse from her sweet lips had him thrusting up into her and sucking harder. He left her breast as she fumbled at his shirt, unbuttoning and then her hands were on his chest, nails digging in as she gripped him tight.

His mouth crashed to hers, their tongues warring as they both panted for breath. She nibbled and sucked and moaned her way through the kiss and he decided this kiss was going in his memory Hall of Fame. Nothing would ever knock this off the top spot. He slid his hands around and cupped her ass again, squeezing tightly and crushing her to him, rubbing her back and forth over his aching length.

“Touch me, please,” she breathed into his ear. He found the crotch of her panties, already damp with her desire and rubbed his knuckle over the center. Her breath hitched and he swallowed her moan.

“Does that feel good, Kayleigh?”

“You know it does,” she growled, and he chuckled at the beast he’d awaken in the town’s sweetheart.“Harder, Ben.”

Her command and his name from her lips had him slipping his hand under the edge of her panties and into her wet heat. He slid two fingers inside her and his eyes rolled back in his head as she clenched around him, desperate to keep him in paradise. When she relaxed her muscles, he spread his fingers wide and thrust them in and out.

“Is that better?”

“Mmm…”

“Say my name, Kay.”He needed to hear it, needed to know that she wasn’t off in a fantasy thinking of someone else. Needed to know that she was as desperate for him as he was for her. That she was falling with no safety net, just like he was.

“Ben,” she sighed and bucked her hips, pumping herself up and down on him. His tongue slid out and over her nipple, torturing the hard point while she worked herself on his hands, her breaths and cries getting higher and he couldn’t wait to watch her fall.

“Ben, I’m going to…”

A throat cleared in their vicinity and Kayleigh pulled back gasping. Ben threw himself in front of her, acting like a human shield as the deputy sheriff appeared from around the side of the building.

“I’m not sure what Taylor’s paying you for, but I don’t think it’s this,” Blake said, his voice stern but there was an undercurrent of humor there too, not that his expression betrayed it. Blake tried to peer around Ben which sent all Ben’s alpha instincts soaring, his adrenaline riding him hard. Blake noticed the change in him and didn’t appreciate it one bit.

“You can take it down a notch son, I’m the sheriff and you’re in a public place. I could arrest you both for what you were just doing. I’m not going to, so maybe tell your face that.”

Ben tried to get his anger under control. Blake was a good guy and Ben knew that he had a point.

“Appreciate that, sir,” Ben said, his voice gruff.

“Good, now y’all have a good evening,” Blake said and sauntered back around the side of the bar. Ben turned back to Kayleigh, helping her right her clothing before tugging her back towards the bar.

“Are we in trouble?” Her face twisted with concern. As much as she tried to pretend she was a rebel, the real Kayleigh was still as sweet, good and considerate as ever.

“No Kay, we’re not.”

“He’s not gonna tell my parents that he caught us doing that, is he?”

Ben would have laughed if he didn’t realize how anxious she was. He never wanted to do anything that would compromise her, she was his best friend, the best person in his life, not that she knew it. “No Kay, you’re twenty-six. He won’t tell your parents anything.”

Her relief was palpable. “Good.”

They went back to work like nothing happened, but Ben didn’t know what to say, how to feel. Who knows how far they would have gone outside if they hadn’t been caught. What if they’d gone even further and been caught then and she would be mortified, people would talk, and they wouldn’t look at her the same way. He didn’t want to be that person who knocked her off her pedestal, he only wanted to lift her up.

When he got home that night, he logged onto his computer and sat waiting for her, with Geralt in his lap, nibbling some kale. When that tell-tale noise echoed throughout his room, he didn’t waste any time.

GreenEyedKing96:I’m so sorry.

GoodGirlKay:For what?

GreenEyedKing96:For what I did yesterday, I took things to a place where we haven’t been before without your consent and I’m sorry.

GoodGirlKay:Without my consent? You saw me replying right?

GreenEyedKing96:You know what I mean. We had never spoken like…that…before and I didn’t discuss with you if that was a direction you wanted us to move in.

GoodGirlKay:Well, what if it is?
