“Can you just stop? Please,” she snaps, and I gape at her gray eyes filling with tears. “You are so damn hot and then cold. I can’t keep up, and you’re making my head hurt,” she whimpers and then spins around to give me her back.

“What did you do?” Carter barks, stomping over her in the middle of a play. I hold my hands up and shrug.

“I’m fine,” Gracie rushes to say as she stands and moves over to him. “I just have a headache,” she continues, and he takes some deep breaths, looking her over for injuries. Nodding, he leans down and gives her a quick kiss, making the cheer team gasp, then pulls his helmet back on and returns to the huddle.

Gracie takes her seat again and pulls off the lid to the Tupperware. I glance down and smile. It’s full of cookies. “I’m not trying to mess with your head, Doll,” I say, and she sucks in a breath.

Her eyes glaze over, and she stares at something for a few minutes before shaking her head. “Sorry, I get these random flashbacks. I remembered something, but it doesn’t matter,” she mumbles, dismissing it, but I can’t let it go.

“What did you see?” I ask, and she smiles for a quick second, then shakes her head again.

“An apple orchard at a farm. I think it was our first kiss,” she says, then picks up the cookies and hands them to me. “Eat, Ash; there is also warm cider in my thermos. You look sick, and your stomach won’t stop growling.”

I stare at her, my heart’s racing, and I feel faint. She’s starting to remember, but why did it have to be that day?

“You kids have fun.I'll be back in three hours to get you,” Gracie’s dad says out the driver’s side window before pulling down the long drive of Willows Orchards.

Gracie and I have been dating for six months, and seventh grade just started. I don't see her as much now that we're in different color groups: her in orange and me in blue. We had an amazing summer together. Picnics, swimming at Willows Creek, and BBQs at her family's lake house. I wish we could go back.

Since school’s back in full swing, it’s non-stop activities between football and the stupid business program my dad is making me do after school. I'm only in middle school. I should be able to be a kid for a little while longer.

Feeling pressure on my palm, I see Gracie has grabbed my hand, pulling me out of my thoughts.

“You okay, Ash? I thought you were excited to go apple picking with me?" She looks at me with so much concern and love in her eyes. I just want to kiss her here and now.

Who cares who sees? Gracelyn Nicole Rose is my one. I may be young, but I just know one day she will marry me, and we will grow old together.

Pulling her along the path, I grab each of us a small wooden bucket to put our apples in.

“Of course, I want to be here with you. I’m sorry. I was just thinking about that stupid business class I’ve been taking since school started. I hate it. It’s absolutely boring. I don't want to be in business. I want to join the Air Force and fly away from this town with you by my side.” She gives me a smile at the thought.

“We could see amazing places. Try new things together. So for my father to put me in these stupid classes is a waste of time. I would rather let you braid my hair and paint my nails than sit through another one of those dumb classes,” I grumble, and she starts giggling.

Man, I love her laugh. “Wow, you must really hate those classes. You threw Mia in the pool the last time she tried to paint your toenails. She didn't speak to us for two weeks because I laughed with you. I don't think she has ever been that mad at me before,” she says, still laughing.

Yeah, that was a good day. After Mia stormed out, I got to spend the rest of the day snuggled on the couch watching movies with Gracie.

We keep walking until we find the perfect tree. The apples are so ripe and red. Picking a few, I toss them to Gracie to put in her bucket. She promised me a homemade apple pie after this, and I've been drooling since she mentioned it.

Gracie can bake. I know in the future, I'm going to weigh three-hundred pounds from having the best cook and baker as a wife, and I can’t wait.

After filling our buckets to the brim, I grab her hand and pull her to the side of the barn where no one can see us. Pressing her back gently against the wood, I stand in front of her.

She's so beautiful with her golden hair and gray eyes. Smiling up at me, I tuck a flyaway strand of hair behind her ear before pressing closer to her.

“Gracie, may I kiss you?” I ask her in a whisper, getting closer to her. She nods, giving me all the consent I need. Carefully bending down to her, I press my lips on hers. She tastes so sweet, like the apple cider we just drank.

Pulling back from her, I look at the glee on her face and mirror her smile. I go to step back, but she moves closer, wrapping her arms around my neck, and kissing me a little harder. I’m not sure how long we spend in each other's arms, but this is turning out to be one of the best days of my life.

I clearmy throat and discreetly adjust my cock, placing my hoodie on top of my lap. I devour her offerings, moaning and groaning like some civilized caveman.

“I have missed your baking,” I mutter with my mouth full. Gracie looks stunned, her cheeks blush, and she pushes some hair behind her ears.

“I don’t remember much, but baking comes naturally. I enjoy it, and I like how it makes people happy,” she mutters, then reaches into her bag for a wet wipe, handing it to me. “You, umm, have some chocolate…” She points to the side of her lip, and I wipe my face.

“Thanks.” She nods and then turns back to watch her team practice.

“I don’t know why I’m here. I suck at cheerleading, and I’d much rather do anything else,” she says, and I laugh.
