"Yes, our friend here, has been playing this cat-and-mouse game with Raven for years and I suggested they finally talk it out," Zane stated with a chuckle as Damien shook his head.
"I'm with Zane on this one! You two have been dropping hints about each other for years," Will added.
"For your information, we did talk a little during lunch today and that's how I got the invite for tonight," Damien replied causing his friends to smile.
Zane knew that Damien was a very private person, and for him to talk to anyone about his feelings, Damien must truly be interested in them.
"I'm happy for you two, and I hope you two can make it work," Zane stated.
"Now, onto something else! Is everything set for Faith's party tomorrow night?" Damien asked before taking a sip of his cognac.
Looking over at Damien and Will, who was an entertainment lawyer, "Everything is set and I'm excited to see how it all comes together! Faith is starting the day with interviews and she will have even more after her release," Zane replied before taking a sip of his cognac.
"That's good to hear! Have you figured out what you're going to do about Faith's crush on you and the situation with Nivea?" Damien asked, causing Zane to smirk at him.
"Hold up! What situations? I missed everything while I was out of town," Will exclaimed causing Damien to chuckle.
Smiling, "Should I tell him, or do you want to do the honors?" Damien joked, causing Will to laugh.
Shaking his head, "Since you like to gossip like an old woman, why don't you tell him, grandma," Zane replied smiling.
"Someone tell me what's going on!" Will exclaimed before finishing his drink and signaling their waitress for another round.
"It's no secret that Faith has her sights on Zane as her next conquest and Zane has been walking around with blinders on, to not see it," Damien replied, causing Zane to shake his head.
"He does have a point! She had her eye on you, me, and Damien when she joined the label, but when she learned Damien wasn't interested and I was a single dad with two kids, her focus zoomed in on Zane," Will stated as he leaned back in his seat.
"Speaking of the kids, How are my nephews?" Damien asked smiling.
Smiling himself, Zane missed spending time with his nephews, Wesley, and Weston, who were five years old. Since their mother, Sharon had died three years prior from ovarian cancer, Zane and Damien had been helping Will with the boys as much as possible.
Smiling, "The boys are doing great! They are in Florida, visiting my parents for the summer," Will replied before pushing his empty plate away.
"Now, back to the topic at hand! What are you going to do about these two women?" Will asked, causing Damien to chuckle.
Shrugging his shoulders, "Far as Faith is concerned, there isn't anything to figure out! I have never been or will be interested in her romantically. As for Nivea, I do have interest and I hope we can talk and finally clear the air between us," Zane replied before taking a sip of his drink.
"I'm glad to hear that! You are meant for each other," Damien suggested.
"We agree too," Someone stated, causing the guys to look up and see Raven and Robin had arrived.
"Hey, ladies! What do you two have to add to the conversation?" Damien joked as Raven and Robin pulled up a seat at their table beside him.
"We just hope after tonight, you and Nivea will finally talk things out," Raven replied as she looked over at Zane and then over at Damien.
"What's so special about tonight?" Will asked, causing Robin and Raven to smile.
"Look on the stage and you will see," Robin replied, causing everyone at the table to look at the stage.
When Zane looked at the stage, his eyes widened with amazement. Standing on the stage looking beautiful in a sexy black dress that hugged her curves perfectly, Nivea exhumed confidence.
"Wow!" Zane exclaimed, causing the group to chuckle.
Chapter Seven
"I'm so nervous!" Nivea exclaimed as she stood in the dressing room looking at herself in the mirror, before her big performance. Looking down at her black one-shoulder dress with a ruffle hem and split, she loved how it hugged all her curves. Then she looked down at her silver heels that had thin straps that wrapped around her ankles.
"You will do great! You are a pro and you will knock this out of the park, just like all the other shows that you have done. Plus, you look amazing," Raven replied, causing Nivea to smile.
