"She's right! You know what you are doing and the crowd loves you," Robin added. "Here, take a sip of this to calm your nerves," she continued as she handed Nivea a flute of champagne.
Taking a few sips, Nivea had to admit, it did help soothe her nerves.
"You finish your drink and we are heading to our table. We'll see you after the show," Robin stated before hugging Nivea.
"Just relax and have fun," Raven added before she hugged her also.
"I will and thank you both for being here," Nivea replied.
"We will always be here, no matter what," Raven stated before they walked out the door.
The moment the door closed, Nivea drank the rest of her drink and sat the glass down on the vanity table. Taking a deep breath and taking one last look at her make-up and outfit, she was happy with the total look.
"It's show time!" She exclaimed and proceeded out the door to the stage.
"Hey, guys!" Nivea greeted the band.
Hey Nivea! Are you ready to have a great show tonight?" Keith McCain asked who was the drummer.
Smiling, "I'm always ready," she exclaimed, causing the group of guys to laugh.
"I'm glad to hear it! We have a packed house tonight," Shawn Stewart stated, who was the lead guitarist.
"Then let's have fun and give them a great show," Randi said out of nowhere, startling Nivea.
"You have to stop doing that!" She exclaimed, and hit Randi on his arm, causing Randi to chuckle.
"You shouldn't be so easy to scare," he joked causing Nivea to roll her eyes.
"I'm telling Jamie on you when I see her," Nivea joked causing Randi to smirk. Jaime Ethan was Randi's wife and a close friend of Nivea's.
"That's just wrong! She finally let me out of the doghouse yesterday for leaving dirty dishes in the sink," Randi joked causing the group to laugh.
"That's what you get! Now, let's get these people out of their seats and on the dance floor," Nivea exclaimed.
"Let's do this!" The band cheered and started to head onto the stage, leaving Nivea and Randi alone.
"I'm so proud of you," Randi said causing Nivea to look over at him. "You have an amazing voice and great showmanship. I have a feeling that your big break is about to happen," he continued.
"Randi, if it wasn't for you and Jaime, I wouldn't be living out my dream as a singer, and for that, I'm eternally grateful to you both," Nivea confessed as tears flooded her eyes.
Shaking his head as he handed her the white handkerchief out of the pocket of his navy-blue suit jacket pocket, "All we did was give you a chance, but you and your amazing voice are what's going to carry you to the next level," Randi said.
Dabbing the corners of her eyes, being careful not to disturb her make-up, "Thank you so much and no matter what happens next, I will always consider this place my home and you and Jamie as my family," Nivea replied before she hugged him.
Pulling apart, "All right, enough of this mushy stuff! Go out there and have some fun," he suggested causing her to smile.
"Yes sir!" She joked, causing him to laugh before she walked out on the stage.
Walking out on the stage and looking at the crowd as they started to surround the stage, Nivea realized that there was one thing missing that would make the night perfect, and that was Zane.
No matter what she did to keep herself from thinking about him, it never worked. She knew they still needed to talk after the way she acted at lunch that day, but she couldn't get over the embarrassment she felt about her behavior.
Taking a deep breath and looking back at her band. They each gave her a nod and she knew they were ready to party.
Smiling and taking the microphone off the stand before her, "Good evening, everyone! How are you doing tonight?" She shouted, earning a loud cheer from the crowd, which caused her smile to broaden.
"Is everyone ready to get this party started?" She shouted causing the crowd to go wide.
