“I see your walk did nothing to clear the stupid from your brain.” I’m seeing red and ready to pound the stubbornness out of my friend’s head if he can’t do it on his own.

“Uh, guys.”

“Fuck you, Landry.”

Like I’ve said before, Boone is synonymous with control. He’d probably get a kick out of seeing his face in the fucking dictionary next to the word.

I’m across the room in two steps. “If we can’t get on the same page, fuck the pact. It means nothing. She’ll never want anything to do with either of you or me. You two can’t stop being assholes long enough.”

Boone flinches when the truth of my words hits home.

Finally. I didn’t really want to test out who would come out on top if it came to blows. There’s not another man alive I dread facing off with. Equal in strength and cunning, it would be an interesting fight, but the friendship would suffer and that’s the last thing I want.

“The pact is gone. I should have never mentioned it when we got here. We all know it’s not what this is about.”

“I know. Her father—”

“Guys!” Austin steps between us, cutting me off. “Where the fuck is Honor?”

“Iknow what this is about.”

A soft, teasing voice comes from the living room.

We all turn to see our girl—because she is, damn it—in that flirty thing she calls a gown that’s damn near see-through in the evening sunlight, standing by the couch with a bottle of tequila in her hand and a devilish smile on her face.

Fuck, I want her so bad my cock is swollen in seconds. Boone growls a sound of lust, and I do the same.

I remember that smile. “Last time we saw that smile on your face we ended up doing dirty things to you.” I see the old Honor in those big brown eyes that have me moving in her direction.

“I know. Wanna hear my idea?”

Honor

“Ihave an idea on how we can continue on from here.” I smile already knowing their answer. “Either I can drink this until I fall asleep while you three argue or you can make love to me.”

I hold a hand up when all three look like they want to argue with me.

“But first, tell me about this pact.”

Boone flicks his hand like he’s swatting at a fly. “It’s nothing. It doesn’t matter because none of us are touching you, Honor.”

Boone tries to deflect my question, but I’m not so easily swayed. He should know better. Maybe he needs to be reminded.

“Go back upstairs and put some clothes on and get rid of that bottle. We’re not getting anywhere near you. Now or ever.”

Fuck, the man is hot as sin.

His words would hurt if they were not dripping with passion and his eyes weren’t trying to burn this gown off my body.

“Hmm. Nice try. I’m not buying your ‘me no want you’caveman game, though.” I drop my gaze to the shadowed bulge in his pants and feel my body burn hot and a teasing hint of electricity hitting my core.

“Game, huh?”

Tingles of excitement tumble through me. Oh, that got him moving.

A brooding Boone prowls across the living room with Landry and Austin at his sides. I don’t know who looks hungrier between the three.
