We’ve come full circle since those first awkward days aboard the ship when we both yearned for each other but were too wary to declare our feelings. I’m glad those days are far behind us and there is nothing stopping me from declaring how much I love my little human mate.

Well, she’s not my mate yet. She will be in an hour.

Captain Xurek Bah-rost Trunjustier Al'kareed himself is doing the honors.

He told us he's taken great pains to ensure there will be no reporters on board. Now that I'm the official face of Amerson in the Male of Boursen series, it's hard to walk anywhere in public without being recognized. It was awkward for both Delia and me at first, but we're both so happy, neither of us minds taking a moment while I sign autographs for my fans.

I wondered if my fame bothered Delia, but when I asked her, she just smiled as she shook her head and said, "I love you too much to begrudge you even one moment of enjoying your fame."

She catches me gazing at her. She knows the look. The starstruck expression on my face usually turns to thoughts of the bedroom–for both of us.

She giggles and shouts to whoever is knocking, "We'll be there in a moment," then she steps into my open arms. "Are you ready for this, Jarrn?"

"Ready to be yours always? Ready to have you at my side as my lover and partner? Ready to raise a family with you while we support each other in all ways?"

I'd lift her into my arms and twirl her if I didn't know she would scoff and complain I was wrinkling her dress. Instead, I lean and place a sweet kiss on her forehead, not wanting to muss her lipstick.

"Yes, my love. I'm more than ready for the ride of a lifetime. As long as it's with you."
