“Hey, Poppy?” He knew cutting me off would just annoy me even more.

“I want to punch you right now.” I glared at his crotch. “In your penis.”

“The last woman I slept with on those sheets was a real hellcat.” He stepped closer to me. “A super sexy, feisty little thing. She left her scent all over my bed and I didn’t want to get rid of it.”

I was going to murder him. Right in front of Sam and Jude, and if they didn’t say it was a justified homicide, I’d murder them too. “Cyrus, you’re pissing me off.”

“I guess I could wash them since I plan on her being in my bed all the time.” He knew me so well that when I reached out to grab another empty plastic bottle to throw at him he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his chest. Without having to try very hard, he pinned both of my arms behind my back and smirked down at me. “Starting tonight.”

“Cyrus!” I struggled against his hold as I realized he’d been teasing me. I hated that I’d let him get one over on me and showed that I was jealous. He was lucky he was holding my hands so I couldn’t strangle him. “You’re such an ass!”

He wagged his eyebrows. “Got you. You seemed a little green, babygirl. What was that about?”

Jude didn’t bother hiding his laughter. “Alittlegreen? I thought she was going to rip your head off and feed it to the gators.”

“I’m staying out of this.” Sam held up his hands. “Mainly because when Poppy snaps and starts committing felonies in a jealous rage, I’d like to be spared.”

I gasped. “You too, Sammy?”

“Where are we on you making and getting into my bed?” Knowing he was still in a danger zone, Cyrus kept his face a safe distance from mine.

“I’m not jealous.” I glared at all three of them. “I just like clean sheets. Why would I be jealous? That’s ridiculous.”

“You can be a little jealous.” Knowing he was still pushing my buttons, Cyrus kept it up with a big grin on his face.

I was just dumb enough to keep taking his bait. “I’m not jealous. I have nothing to be jealous of. You guys can do whatever you want with whoever you want. I don’t care.”

Sam dropped the trash bag he was holding and stepped over it on his way to me. “Whatever I want is hanging out and fucking. Whoever I want is you. So let’s not get that confused.”

Jude nodded. “Yeah, I thought it was obvious but I guess maybe it wasn’t. I’ll be very clear. I’m not touching anyone else. I’m an asshole but never to you. When I’m in your bed, there is no one else.”

“I haven’t been able to think of a single thing that wasn’t you or related to you since that kiss, Poppy. I don’t want another woman. I want you.” Cyrus gently pushed me toward his bedroom. “And I want you in my bed ten minutes ago. I’m going to clean so much faster if I know you’re waiting for me.”

I stumbled as my anger sizzled out and I was left with big, mushy emotions that stressed me out. Looking suspiciously at each of them, I slowly backed toward Cyrus’s bedroom. “Well, I don’t sleep around either. Except for when I sleep with one of you and the other two aren’t there. Or when I slept with each of you before you all knew about it. But other than that, I’m a one-man… That’s not right. I’m a three-man woman. You know what? I’m just going to go.”

Cyrus caught my hand and steered me away from the front door and back toward his bedroom. “If you’re not in my bed in the next two minutes, I’m bending you over and spanking you while the guys sit and watch.”

“You wouldn’t.”

He slapped my ass. “I really would. I’d love every second of it too. You have no idea how much I love seeing your ass turn red in the shape of my palm print, babygirl.”

I had an idea. “I’m only going because I want to go.”

They all three laughed as I hurried away and I silently swore at each of them. Then I felt bad because I saw that Cyrus had already made his bed and there was a bouquet of flowers sitting on top of the bed.

My heart beat harder and butterflies erupted in my stomach as I picked them up and gently pressed my face into the soft petals. They smelled so good and even though I knew nothing about flowers, I thought they were stunning. I pulled the card off to read it and hugged the flowers to my chest as the words hit me.

You were always the most beautiful. Even before you let us touch your fun parts.

I laughed and turned around to go hug Cyrus but he was already standing in the doorway, smiling. Feeling shy, I looked down at the flowers and shifted from foot to foot. “They’re beautiful, Cy. Thank you.”

“I mean it, Poppy. We all do. The guys helped with the first part of the card. The last part was all me, though.” He stepped closer and eased the flowers out of my hands. “Well?”

I glanced up at him, confused. “Well?”

“Aren’t you going to gush and jump into my arms, or some shit?” His eyes crinkled as he teased.

“How about I show you my appreciation in a better way?” I went to my knees in front of him and felt a sense of relief to not have to face the emotions I was feeling right away. “Or, I guess we could just talk…”
