“So, what have you got for me?” She raised a brow.

Nerves hit him like a wave. “Ah.”Feck, get it together, O’Donovan.

He pulled out the carving.

She took it in her slim hands. One side was Addie in a pretty dress, her hands clasped together as she stared at the man on the other side. It was Bram, kneeling at her feet.

Holding up a ring.

“Bram, it’s gorgeous. You finally did one of you, just like I wanted.” Then she realized what it signified. She looked up with a gasp.

Bram knelt beside the bed, holding up a ring.

“This was my mother’s, and my grandmother’s before that.” The ring was old-fashioned, with diamonds in a flower setting. “Addie, you’re mine and I’m yours—”

“Yes.” Tears ran down her cheeks. “Yes, Bram.” She flew at him, and he caught her. “I love you.”

He cleared his throat. “Just to be sure, you’re agreeing to marry me.”

She slapped a kiss on his cheek. “Yes!”

He slid the ring onto her finger. It fit her, like it was right where it was supposed to be.

“I’m yours, Bram.” She put his hand on her stomach and entwined her fingers with his. “We’re yours.”

“And I’m never letting you go.” As he kissed her, his phone started to ring. He knew it was Hex and their friends.

He pulled out the phone and thumbed it off, then he rolled Addie back onto the bed, listening to the sound of her vibrant laughter. A sound he wanted to listen to for the rest of his life.

EPILOGUE

Four and a half months later

Bram sipped his beer and tried not to fidget. Or tug at the collar of his shirt.

He was at a bloody art showing at Farley’s gallery. He scanned the well-dressed crowd. He wasn’t here to check the security, no, it was his bloody art on display.

He took a large chug of his beer. How the hell had he ever let Addie talk him into this?

She was sneaky. She’d slowly brought him around to the idea, and she damn well knew he couldn’t say no to her.

Next to him, one of his carvings of Addie sat on a pedestal. All around the gallery, his statues were being hemmed and hawed over by strangers. He wasn’t sure he liked it.

Addie had gently bullied him into showing his art to Eamon. After that, things had moved at lightspeed, and here he was, having an art showing.

“Congratulations.” Killian, wearing a dark suit and black shirt, appeared. His boss held up a glass of champagne in salute. “Please tell me you aren’t going to quit Sentinel Security to become a full-time artist.”

“Fuck, no. It’s just a hobby.” Apparently, no one ever listened when he said that.

“It’s great work, Bram. You should be proud.”

“Thanks.” He took another sip of beer.

A familiar, sunshiny sound cut across the crowd. He turned his head. He’d know Addie’s laugh anywhere. She was standing with Hex, Devyn, and Saskia. Her blue maternity dress covered the huge mound of her belly. She was due any day now, and he didn’t think her stomach could possibly get any bigger. She had trouble sleeping at night, and he spent a lot of time rubbing her back.

Feck. The babies would arrive soon. He was both nervous and excited.

The nursery was ready now. Addie had loved every second of selecting the furniture, toys, and decorations.
