He felt her tremble, but she kept her gaze on the screen.

“Then the object of his obsession fell for another guy,” Devyn said.

“And Kozlov stepped in to keep you apart,” Hex said. “He paid Pam to keep you guys from connecting.”

Bram’s hands tightened on Addie. He’d been manipulated. He was angry at himself for falling for it. “Where is he now?”

He’d find Kozlov and end this. One way or another.

The man wasn’t touching Addie. He wasn’t scaring her anymore.

“I found his name on two leases in the city. An apartment in Brighton Beach, and a small storage space in Queens.”

Addie’s cellphone rang. She pulled it out and frowned. “I don’t recognize the number.”

Hex tapped on the keyboard. “Put it on speaker.”

Addie nodded. “Hello?”

“Hello, my Adaline.” The man had a thick, Russian accent.

She stiffened, and Bram’s spine locked.

Hex made a motion with her hands. “I’ll try to track him.”

“It took me time to find your new number,” Kozlov continued.

“Why are you stalking me?” Addie said.

“I’m not stalking you. I love you. I want to take care of you. You’re so beautiful.”

“You don’t know me. I want you to leave me alone.” Her voice rose.

Bram ran a hand down her back.

“I will know you. I will love you. I’ll take very good care of you.”

“I have a man and I’m pregnant with his babies.”

“You should never have let him fuck you, Adaline.” Kozlov’s voice hardened. “You’ll forget about him once you’re with me, and I’m loving you.”

Bram barely held back his growl.

“You can give the babies away,” Kozlov continued. “Then I will put my babies in your belly.”

Bram saw the fear and revulsion on her face. “Leave me alone!”

“I will find you soon, Adaline. Soon, we’ll be together.”

The line went dead.

“I’ll go to his apartment,” Killian said.

Nick nodded. “I’ll come with you.”

“Bram and I will check out the storage space,” Devyn said.

Addie looked up. “Be careful.”
