“Let’s get airborne,” Killian said.

By the time they’d reached cruising altitude, the team was deep in discussion with Boone.

“I’ve messaged a few of my buddies in Anchorage,” Boone said. “Asked if anyone’s seen this Kozlov. I know some of the local Russians. Most are decent and hard-working, but there are plenty who aren’t. Most of them are into poaching and illegal hunting.”

“We’re pretty sure Kozlov has a house or a cabin there,” Hex said, letting out a frustrated sigh. “I can’t find anything in his name.”

“Kozlov is good at hiding his tracks when he needs to,” Devyn said.

“He’s there,” Bram said. “Somewhere.”

Another hour passed, and Boone checked his phone. “I’ve got something. A buddy of mine works at the Ted Stevens, Anchorage’s airport.” He lifted his gaze. “He saw your guy.”

Bram’s spine locked. “He’s there?”

“Yep. Flew in today with…a blonde woman.”

Bram barely suppressed a growl.

“Keep a lock on it, Bram,” Killian warned.

“Someone met them at the plane.” Boone smiled. “Hex, I have the license plate number of the truck they left in for you.”

“Ooh, gimme.” Hex tapped on her keyboard. “I’ve got it! The truck is registered to a company called Dom Services.”

“Dom means home in Russian,” Killian said.

Hex tapped some more, then pumped a fist into the air. “I have an address of a cabin just outside of Anchorage on some land.”

“Find some aerial photos,” Killian said. “And pull up any information you can on the building.”

Hex worked fast. Boone and Bram leaned over the table, looking at the computer screen. The images showed a small wood cabin by a lake.

This was it. Bram could feel it.

“Let’s plan some reconnaissance,” Killian said.

Several hours later, clad in cargo pants and a tactical vest, Bram threw a duffel bag in the back of a mud-splattered GMC Yukon.

They’d landed in Anchorage, and two vehicles had been waiting for them. Both were streaked with mud and looked like they fit in. They didn’t want to announce their presence to Kozlov.

He shifted impatiently, waiting for the others to follow. He scanned the airport, wondering which plane had brought Addie here.

I’m close, Addie. Just hold on a little bit longer.

Soon, Bram found himself in the back of one Yukon, with Atlas panting beside him. Boone sat on the other side of his dog.

Killian and Devyn were in front, with Killian driving. Nick, Matteo, Shade and Hex were in the other vehicle.

“We’ll head to a location east of the property, and go in on foot.” Devyn was looking at a map on a tablet. “There’s a good vantage point here.” She pointed. “It’s on higher ground.”

Killian met Bram’s gaze in the rearview mirror. “We can’t go in until the time is right. Until we have the right intel we need. Kozlov is no rookie.”

“I get it,” Bram bit out.

“Even if you see her, Bram, you have to keep your cool. Her life could depend on it.”
