“This is Atlas. He and his owner, Boone, are friends. They came to help find you.”

She patted Atlas’ head. “Thanks, Atlas.”

Boone slid into the front seat and smiled back. “It’s our pleasure. Glad you’re okay.”

Addie leaned against Bram. “I’m better than okay. All my dreams have come true. I can’t ask for more than that.”

Bram breathed her in. He’d never been anyone’s dream before, and he liked it.

CHAPTERNINETEEN

Addie felt awesome.

She was wearing cozy, warm clothes that Hex had brought for her. She’d had a hot shower and food at the hotel in Anchorage. Bram had strapped her ankle and rubbed antiseptic cream on her scratches.

And now he was holding her tight against him in the back of the SUV. They were currently driving to Anchorage Airport to fly back to New York. Through the window, she spotted the Sentinel Security jet.

“How’s Ric?” she asked.

“He’s fine,” Killian said from the front seat. “Eager to see you. He blames himself for letting Kozlov take you.”

She rolled her eyes. It seemed that the Sentinel Security heroes were always shouldering the blame for everything.

Bram kissed the top of her head. “Ready to go home?”

“So ready.” She’d had more than enough adventure.

Once they stopped beside the jet, he helped her out of the vehicle and held her hand up the stairs. The others started loading gear into the cargo area.

She heard raised voices inside the jet.

“Would you hold still?” Hex snapped.

“That hurts.” Shade’s voice.

“It’s killing the germs that will infect your stupid body.” Hex huffed. “Maybe I should let you die of an infection.”

“I don’t think you want that, pixie.”

Bram tried to urge Addie inside, but she held up her hand to stop him.

Hex made an annoyed sound. “That is a dumb nickname. Now, stop being a baby. I thought you were a tough spy.”

“I think you’re enjoying this.”

Hex snorted. “Hold still for the glue.” A pause. “Take your shirt off. It’ll be easier. And I see that smirk, James Bond. If you make a joke about me wanting you naked, I’ll smack you.”

There was a low, sexy chuckle. “There, shirt off.” Now there was silence. “If you look at me like that, I’ll make the joke.” Shade’s voice had lowered to a drawl. “A little smacking could be fun.”

Bram pressed closer and heard the conversation inside. “Ah, hell.”

“I’m busy looking at your cut.” The hacker’s tone was withering.

“Don’t interrupt them.” Addie leaned inside, peering around the corner into the jet.

The pair were sitting at the back of the aircraft. Shade had his shirt off, and…wow. Addie loved Bram—his wide chest, strong body, smattering of red hair. But Shade was every woman’s fantasy. Bronze skin taut over smooth, hard muscles, and too many ridges on his abdomen to count.

Hex was standing beside him in dark jeans and a red, long-sleeved T-shirt. The woman was working on the cut high up on Shade’s muscular bicep.
