I pull back and look up at him.

All I can do is stare at Billy, slack-jawed after his monologue. Fresh tears rush to my eyes, but this time, they're not tears or sadness or anything but happiness.
I lean into him, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him fiercely. The passion between us is palpable, and I can feel the heat of his body against mine. He presses his lips against mine with equal force, and I can feel his arms tightening around me, pulling me even closer.

As we embrace again, I can feel the world around us melt away, leaving only the two of us in a whirlwind of passion and love. It's as if we're the only people on the planet, and nothing else matters but the connection we share.

His eyes heat as he gazes down at me. "Anything for my good little girl."
My heart skips a beat at the look in his eyes.

One Year Later

I placea hand on my wife's pregnant belly, my chest swelling with pride.
