“Wait,” Natalie said before her mom handed back the phone. “One more. Can you frame the bottom of the dresses and our shoes?” Natalie looked at Summer and Haley. “Pose those toes.”

Summer stood on one foot and picked up her other heel to show off the straps on her silver heels. Haley put one foot out to show off her shoe’s cutouts. Natalie mimicked Haley’s pose but with the opposite foot to make the picture more uniform.

Miranda snapped the pic and showed it to them.

Natalie nodded. “Perfect. Thank you.”

“I wish I got the memo on the silver shoes.” Miranda stared down at her beautiful black pumps, which were dotted with pearls.

Summer loved them. “Those are perfect with that beautiful gown.” The black dress had long split sleeves with pearl closures at her wrists.

“I agree,” her dad said, joining them. “You’re stunning.”

Miranda blushed. “You said ‘beautiful’ upstairs.”

“I’ll add ‘gorgeous’ to the list.”

Summer sighed and grinned at them. Her heart melted when herdad kissed Miranda, who didn’t even hesitate or balk because she didn’t want to mess up her makeup. Their kiss wasn’t some quick peck, but a soft press that lingered for an endearing moment, their love filling the room.

Suddenly, Cody slipped up beside her, slid his hand up the back of her neck, drew her close, and kissed her just the way her dad had kissed his beloved wife.

Time stopped.

All she knew was him.

She’d never felt so cherished and desired in her whole life.

Cody slowed the kiss, brushing his lips to hers in a soft sweep. Every nerve in her body sparked to life with awareness and a feeling of such contentment she sighed against his lips.

“You take my breath away,” he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers.

Their gazes locked and she saw reflected back to her all the adoration she felt for him.

Was this love? Was this how it felt?

Giddy, calm, desperate, content, joyful, amorous, all that rolled into one and so much more.

She took a half step back to take him in. The black suit, the crisp white dress shirt, and the tie she’d bought him made him look like a cover model forGQ. She grinned up at him. “Every time I look at you... You’re just so handsome tonight. Wow.”

His smile brightened. “And I have the most beautiful date.” He took her hand from his chest, brought it to his lips, and kissed the back of it. “I knew that dress would look spectacular on you.”

“You picked it?” Natalie asked.

Cody sharply glanced up, looking like he’d forgotten they had an audience. “Wow. Look at you, Nat. So pretty and grown up.”

Natalie blushed. “Thank you.”

Haley showed off her dress.

Cody noticed right away. “And you, Haley, perfect. Your hair is super cool. And the heels...”

Haley beamed. “Summer picked them out. We all match.” Haley indicated her, Natalie’s, and Summer’s shoes.

Cody glanced at Summer, understanding she’d done this to connect with her sisters, then looked back at Natalie and Haley. “Four beautiful Weston women.”

“All my girls,” Dad said, holding Miranda to his side with one arm around her waist.

“All we’re missing is—”
