Father Mason stood in the doorway, arms dangling by his side.

His eyes weren’t the warm, gentle ones I was used to. Instead, they blazed with fiery anger that made my heart stop beating. His jaw was set in a hard line as he glared at me. Before I could even think of an excuse, he lunged toward me, his hands reaching out to grab me.

The room spun as my world turned upside down, and the last thing I saw before everything went black was Mason’s face, filled with fury I’d never seen before.

CHAPTEREIGHTEEN

LOGAN

By lunchtime, I’d navigated the institute’s corridors for the third time, unease gnawing at my gut. As much as I had tried to ignore it, Katerina’s absence was becoming painfully clear. I hadn’t seen her since the library last night. Spotting Bridge at the end of a long hallway, I quickened my pace.

“Have you found her?” I asked, my words fast forward.

He shook his head, a troubled frown crossing his face.

“I’ve been looking for her outdoors and nothing. Her friend, Lily, says she hasn’t seen her all morning.”

A wave of guilt washed over me. “Fuck, man, did we push her too far?” I asked with a tone filled with the fear that I’d been trying to stave off. “Has she run away?”

“Fuck!” Bridge’s jaw clenched, his usually in-control expression taut with concern. “Let’s split up and do another check.” Bridge’s voice strained with panic.

Without another word, we took off through the institute in opposite directions.

It wasn’t long before I found myself standing in the doorway of her room, her absence strangling me. Her bed was unmade, which told me she definitely slept in it last night but was in a rush to go somewhere.

Stepping into the room, I scanned her surroundings, searching for any clue as to where she could’ve gone. My gaze caught on the corner of something red just visible from beneath her mattress. I reached down and pulled out a simple notebook, the cover worn from use. As I flipped through it, my heart froze.

Her neat handwriting filled the pages, detailing her time at the institute to her friend, Em, mostly about her encounters with Bridge, Mason, and me. How turned on she was for us, which had me grinning. I flicked through the pages, noting that between her crush and intimate details, she’d interwoven her suspicions, her questions on whether we were priests or not.

They were too accurate, too close to the truth.

I flipped to her last entry, which was short and rushed.

Hey Em,

I don’t even know how to tell you this without you completely judging me, and I would think something was wrong with you if you didn’t judge me.

But remember the whole incident of me giving the wrong priest a blowjob? Tonight was their turn to get back at me, and boy, did they. Let’s just say I was stripped, tied up, and fucked into Nirvana. God, something is wrong with me because I loved it, even when Father Logan walked in and watched.

Secretly, I wanted him to join us so I could see his huge cock again.

Just so you know, I’m blushing terribly just writing this. I could never tell you this face-to-face without dying of embarrassment.

But there was something else… After tonight, I know without a shadow of a doubt that these three men running the Shadow Hill Institute are not priests.

Not when I was fucked like the devil had possessed the father. And on top of that, what priest has ripped abs?

I’m going to uncover the truth.

Anyway, I’m barely keeping my eyes open.

Love and miss ya.

Kat

Well, fuck!

On the bright side, there was no indication that she was going to run away.
