As Lily and I sat there, chatting and laughing, she leaned back on her hands, a mischievous expression flaring over her face.

“You want to hear a joke?” she asked.

“Sure,” I replied, already chuckling at her excitement.

“Okay,” she said. “Why don’t priests use email?”

“No idea.”

“Because they preferkneemail.” She burst out laughing, making quotation marks in the air with her fingers.

I chuckled, the joke, while ridiculous, lifting my spirits. “Got any more?”

“Oh, girl, I can go all day.”

A low groan ripped me out of my sleep.

My eyes shot open to a massive shadow looming over me. Panic surging through me, I shoved to get up when a hand clamped over my mouth.

“Ever had a kidnapping fantasy, Kitty Kat?” a familiar voice whispered in my ear.

Relief crashed through me, followed by a giggle.

“Logan!” I half-laughed, half-sobbed, throwing my arms around his neck so hard, he stumbled and tumbled onto the bed. “God, you’re finally back! I thought you ditched me.” I playfully punched him, unable to wipe the grin off my face. “How could you forget me?” I kissed him, my heart thumping with happiness.

Logan chuckled, his fingers threading through my hair. “You have no idea how much I missed you too, Kitty Kat. Now, are you ready to get out of here?”

“Yes!” I blurted out, the word bouncing off the walls.

“But it’ll only be temporary. You need to be back before they get too suspicious,” he warned.

“Wait, I’m coming back?” I frowned. “I want to be with you three.”

“You will.” Logan’s thumb gently traced my cheekbone. “But to avoid a manhunt on our tails, you need to complete your time here. Then you’re ours.”

I wanted to scream with joy, but Logan was already pulling me up and out of bed.

“Get dressed, fast.”

Nodding, I hurriedly changed into jeans and a tee before stepping into my tennis shoes. I scribbled a quick note for Lily and left it on my desk.

Lily, I need some alone time to sort things out in my head. I’m safe and will be back in a few days. Don’t worry. Cover for me, okay? Love, Kat.

Then, hand in hand with Logan, we slipped out of my window and into the woods, cloaked by night. My adrenaline was on fire in my veins, and I was running like a madwoman. We climbed over a broken fence onto a dirt road where a black SUV waited. I jumped into the back seat with Logan, where Bridge was waiting. Mason was in the driver’s seat.

I flung myself into Bridge’s arms, peppering him with kisses. Then I pushed myself between the two front seats to reach Mason, and his hand threaded through my hair, holding me close as we kissed like the world was on fire.

“You three are so lucky you came, or I was going to give up on you!” I said with a grin.

They laughed, and God, I’d missed the sound. Mason caught my eye in the rearview mirror as I flopped into a seat between my two men… squished between them was more like it.

“Did you think we’d miss your birthday? We’ve got something planned for you. So, sit back, relax, and prepare to be adored. We missed the hell out of you.”

“I’m ready.” I buckled up, and Bridge and Logan both had their hands on my thigh. “So, I’m guessing we’re a thing together now? All three of us?”

“You bet your cute little ass,” Logan answered with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Bridge nodded, and Mason laughed.
