I’ve been resisting his charms for a while now, but after our last night together, I don’t know how much more I can handle. Although my mind is made up that I want nothing to do with him, my body has other plans.

I spent almost every night since then, lying awake at night, moisture pooling between my legs, as all the images of the dirty things he did to me that night filter through my mind. I imagine what it would feel like to have his muscular arms wrapped around me as he pounds into my pussy from behind, claiming me as his once again. Or what it would feel like as his beard rubs against the inside of my legs while he fucks my lower lips with his tongue.

I spend most nights fighting those images, convincing myself that there is nothing between Finn and me, but my body knows better. It won’t let me have a moment of peace until I bring myself endless pleasure, calling out his name.

“Where is your phone?” Peyton pushes to her feet and strolls around the desk, opening and closing every door she can reach.

“Calm down, girlie. It’s right here,” I respond, pulling it out of my pocket and showing it to her.

“Thank you.” She snatches it from my hands and tucks it into her shirt, right between her tits. “There. I’ll keep it safe.”

“You know I have no problem going down there to get it, right?

“I know, but the fear of someone walking in and catching you with your hand down my bra will probably outweigh the need for your phone.”

“Touché.” I chuckle before grabbing my computer screen and spinning it toward her. The screen is covered with different outfits I found by googling the phrasefirst date outfits.

“Wow, some of these look a little too fancy for any place in Magnolia. Do you know where you’re going?”

“No.”

“I need that information before I can advise you on what to wear.”

My brows pull down in thought, trying to figure out the best way to get that information.

“Call him.” Peyton giggles, flicking the center of my forehead right between my eyebrows. “I can see the smoke coming out of your ears as we speak.”

“I don’t know. I just finished texting him a few minutes ago.”

“Call him.”

“Maybe he’s busy at work.”

“Call him.”

“But—I—what?”

“Marissa, I swear on everything holy that if you don’t call him, I’ll do it for you. And we both know you won’t like that one bit.”

“You don’t even know who he is.”

“Then I call every number in your contacts until someone knows who I’m talking about.”Fuck. I always knew Peyton was stubborn, but this is a whole new level. I should’ve known when I told her I was thinking about canceling my date. It’s the reason I asked her to come here in the first place. A request I’m regretting at this very moment.

“Fine. I’ll call him.”

“Don’t you need your phone?”

“No, I have his number memorized.” My cheeks heat as I pick up my desk phone and dial Tallywackers. I let the phone ring a few times, waiting for someone to answer.

“Hello.”

“Hello,” I respond, waiting for whoever is on the other line to read the caller ID.

“Can I help you?”

Oh, no. Did the caller ID not work because I was calling from the station? My eyes flick toward Peyton and notice the sly smile on her face.

“Aren’t you going to ask for him?”
