“Through and through.” He threads his fingers through mine, pulling me forward. “I know she’d love you.”

“Aren’t you putting the cart before the horse? We just met. Do you expect me to just jump on the back of your Harley and ride off into the sunset?”

“How many hours is it from here to Vegas?” He huffs out a laugh as he steers me toward a darkened corner of the bar.

The hairs on the back of my neck tingle as we step into the shadows. I pull back, wanting to put as much space between the two of us as possible. I should know better than to let something like this happen. I’m a cop, goddamn it.

“You’re not a serial killer, are you?”

“Do I look like a serial killer, sugar?”

I take a step back, but he matches every move I make with one of his own. I continue backward until I bump into the wall.

“What do you want from me?” I ask, trying to keep my voice level despite the growing heat in my body.

He leans in closer, his eyes locking on mine. “I want to explore every inch of you,” he murmurs, his breath tickling my earlobe.

I shiver, both from the sensation and the intensity of his words. This man is dangerous, but I can’t resist the pull he has on me. “Why are you looking at me like I’m something to eat?”

“Because you are.” He groans before capturing my lips with his in a heated kiss and pushing my back against the wall, trapping me with his body.

He licks the seam of my lips, and I open for him. He swipes his tongue into my mouth with a groan as I slide my hands over his shoulders, tugging on the short hairs at the base of his neck and pulling him closer to me.

My heart pounds inside my chest as he threads his fingers through my hair, tugging roughly on the strands to deepen the kiss. This is beyond anything I could ever have imagined. My soul is on fire, burning me from the inside out with need, desire, and lust. I need Finn like I need air. I’ve tried to ignore the magnetic pull I’ve felt towards him since he sat down on the bar stool beside me, afraid of being rejected, but now there’s no going back.

“You’re the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted.” He trails kisses down my neck, nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin as his hand snakes between our bodies. “This is your last chance, sugar. If we go any further, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop.”

“I don’t want you to stop,” I moan.

“Hope you don’t mind riding on the back of my bike,” he responds before threading his fingers through mine and leading me out of the dark corner and toward the bar. Every noise in the room ramps up to about a thousand as I try to make sense of what’s happening.

I can hear Finn murmuring something to someone before he pulls me in a different direction. Blistering wind smacks us both in the face as he opens the door and pulls me out behind him. It isn’t until I feel him placing something on my head that his words register.

“Oh, no! There is no way inhellthat I’m getting on the back of that thing with you.”

“Why not? Don’t you trust me?” He flashes me another smile, turning my brain to goo once again. I swear his smile is going to be the death of me, and he knows it.

“Doesn’t matter if I trust you or not. I’m not getting on the back of that thing unless you make it worth my while.”

I slap my hand across my mouth, realizing what I just said. Finn doesn’t seem like the type of man to back down from a challenge, and I just laid one down.

“What do I win if I can get you on the back of this bike?” he questions, stepping into my personal space.

My breath hitches in my throat. I desperately want him to lean down and kiss me again, but my stubbornness wins out.

“It doesn’t matter, because there is no way I’m getting on the back of that death trap.” I tilt my chin up in defiance, realizing too late that I played right into his hands.

He leans down so our lips are just a hair’s breadth away from each other. “Oh, we’re just going to see about that,” he whispers before capturing my mouth with his.

The kiss was electric, sending shivers down my spine. I can feel every inch of his body pressed against mine, and my hands instinctively run up his back, pulling him closer. His tongue traces my bottom lip, asking for entrance, and I eagerly grant it. The taste of him is addictive, and I never want this to end.

“You win this round,” he growls before nipping lightly at my lip and standing up straight, taking me along with him. “We’ll walk.”

“Just let me grab my bag and we can be on our way.” He reaches past me and grips what seems to be a roll of clothes off the back of his bike.

“Everything you need is in there?” I question, unable to fathom how anyone could fit any amount of clothing in that small backpack.

“Yes. When you spend most of your time on the road, you learn how to pack light. Besides, I honestly don’t know how long I’m going to be at my parents’ place.”
