“Ginny, I don’t know what’s happened for the last eight years but I want my Gin back. The woman who isn’t afraid to ask for what she wants, the woman who wasn’t ashamed of enjoying sex. I know you Ginny, and I know what you like, so I am going to push you back to being the woman I know you are.” He flicked my nipple like he was shooting a marble and I shuttered. He wasn’t wrong. “Are you on anything?” He asked as he moved the tip of his cock up and down my slit, coating it in my wetness.

“Yes, an IUD,” I panted.

“Good,” he growled as he sank into me and groaned. “Ginny, you feel so damn good. Just like I remembered.” I met each thrust, raising my hips, wanting more of him. “Did you dream of me when you touched the pussy that belongs to me?” Words wouldn’t form as pleasure coursed through my veins, so I nodded. “I want you to say it, Ginny.” His thrusts became harder, more controlled.

“Boone, I pictured you, dreamed of you. I imagined what your cock felt like in me,” I panted as I grabbed the scarves in my hands. This shouldn’t be happening, but it felt perfect, like it always had.

“That’s my girl.” He mashed his mouth against mine and forced his tongue past my lips. We battled back and forth, wanting to be closer, needing one another. Boone grabbed my breast in his huge hand and kneaded it. My breathing increased and I couldn’t hold back anymore. Wrapping my legs around his waist, I held him tightly to me as my orgasm exploded through me.

“Boone, oh my god,” I screamed as he moved as much as my legs would allow. Panting, I shook the restraints, holding my arms in place. I wanted to hold him, wrap my arms around him, clawing at his back. “Spread them wider, I know you can.” Of course I could still do the splits and I opened my legs as much as I could in this position. “I’m going to come in you, fill your pussy with my cum. Your pussy spasming around me is the best feeling I’ve ever known. Come for me again baby, come all over my cock.” Boone thrust into me harder as he slipped his hand between us and his thumb pressed against my clit. My body jerked, and I sat up on my elbows and looked down and watched as Boone slammed into me. “Fuck Ginny, god you’re a perfect.” His eyes locked on my bouncing tits. My orgasm built, and I laid back on the bed as the roughness of his hands on my breasts, pinching my nipples, pulling them, made me thrash on the bed as pleasure wracked my body. I hadn’t been able to achieve an orgasm this good alone.

Boone let out a guttural moan as he stiffened and shot into me. Even after eight years, I knew him, what he liked and how to get him to the finish line, so I thrust my hips against his one more time and he growled before collapsing on top of me.

CHAPTER21

GINNY

Someone was ringing the doorbell, over and over. My head pounded from the extra alcohol I consumed after we had gotten home. Kicking my legs off the bed, I grabbed my robe and bound it as I ran down the stairs. Whoever this was, was about to get an earful and I didn’t care that it was Sunday. “What in the actual fuck?” I yelled as I opened the door and stared into Garth’s sad puppy dog eyes.

“Did I wake you?” His voice was softer and mythic more calm than it was last night. He took a step closer and put his hand on the door as if he wanted to come in, but I stood my ground, pressing my lips together and crossing my arms. “Come on Virginia, let’s talk about this. Let me in and we can fix everything.”

“You don’t seem to understand that you are not living in reality.” Reaching up, I grabbed on the top f my robe to close it more than Garth’s eyes canned my body.

“Come on Virginia, we’ve been together for five years. You can’t just give up on me.” He reached out and tried to touch my face.

A chuckle escaped, and I shook my head before pulling away from his touch. “If you don’t leave me alone, I will have no choice but to file a restraining order. please Garth, get the help you need to move past this.” My voice didn’t sound nearly as confident as I hoped it would be.

“You love me, and I love you. Let me in and I will show you how much.” He took a step closer to me and at that moment, the door swung open and Boone stood behind me. Wearing the pants he wore last night and his white dress shirt unbuttoned, leaven his chest exposed. The sight of him made me a little weak in the knees.

“Garth, please don’t talk like that. If I call the police and they take you in, your career is over. Please het help.” Boone placed his hand on my back. His touch was light as a feather sometimes, but it was all I needed to stand my ground.

“Guess I didn’t need to get this then.” He pulled a large emerald-cut diamond out of his coat pocket. Shaking his head, Garth stepped closer to Boone. “Well, I guess you won. I don’t want your sloppy seconds. Virginia, you will have my resignation letter at your desk in the morning. There won’t be any two-week notice. I’m done with this.” He shoved the ring back in his pocket and spun on his heel and slowly walked down the steps of my porch.

“Come inside. I will make some breakfast.” Boone said quietly as Garth sped off down the still quiet tree-lined street. I hoped my neighbours were all still asleep, or this would be the talk of the gossips at the church today. Who was I kidding? We had been the talk of the town since he announced his trade. I didn’t care, it was just him and I that mattered.

Boone stepped aside, and I walked through the door and went straight for the couch. I was chilled from standing out in the cold, and the soft blanket Boone placed over me felt amazing. “You did nothing wrong, Ginny.” His soft voice in my ear should have calmed my thoughts, but it did the opposite. Was I wrong? Should I have slept with Boone? What had I done all these years to make Garth think we were together? I’d been nice, made him feel welcome, and that’s all.

A bang in the kitchen made me turn and stare at Boone standing at the stove. “Sorry, apparently I’m a little clumsy this morning.” He smiled sweetly and shrugged before reaching to open the fridge. Who was this new Garrison Boone? He looked like the man I was married to, maybe a few wrinkles around his eyes that made him almost irresistible. Clearly I had no will power because he was completely irresistible to me, but then again, where he was concerned, I never could control myself. I had pushed him out of my mind the day I walked away, but here he was, his chiselled jaw, the scar above his eyebrow from where he was hit with a stick, the one under his chin from a slap shot that missed its mark. I knew every scar intimately, I had dressed them, taken out stitches for him and loved him back to the game after he broke his leg sliding into the boards his second season in the pros.

CHAPTER22

BOONE

“Gin, you here?”I called as I walked into her office and took a seat.

“Hey, sorry, I’m running a little behind schedule today. Something’s going on with our computers. They have been down most of the morning.” She sat down in front of her computer and began typing. “So, I talked to the team and I think today we will get a scan of your leg and see how things are progressing.” She turned her chair and looked at me. “So the only issue I am going to have is finding someone to read the report. Garth didn’t show up today, so I need to find someone else. Maybe I could send it to the team doctor?” It was like she was talking to herself, so I didn’t answer her.

“Gin, why don’t you just read it?” I crossed my arms and waited for her to answer. It was something she always talked about and would have solved the position I had put her in.

“I want to be impartial and always get a second set of eyes to look at hockey players’ scans. I’ve seen your knee so often I don’t want to miss something.” She looked back at her computer, trying to avoid eye contact with me.

Reaching over, I closed the laptop and stared at her. “I trust you Gin, there’s nobody’s opinion I want more than yours. Screw being impartial, just tell me your opinion.” Ginny clenched her jaw and closed her eyes.

“Right, then if something goes wrong, everyone gets blaming your wife for pushing you back on to the ice before you were ready. My reputation goes down the drain, the money for the clinic dries up and I have to close.” She stood and walked to the door. “Not today Boone. We might as well get the scan done and I will send it to a friend of mine in the city to read.” The brace on my leg made it hard to stand, but I was getting more and more used to navigating without the crutches. Three weeks down and I was happy with the progress I was making.

We walked in silence down the hall and I wanted to reach for her hand. It had been a two weeks since the auction, since we spent the night as husband and wife. I hoped things would be less cold between us here, but she was all business.

“Lay down on the table.” She pointed, as if I hadn’t done this before.
