“Blake,” Kat barked, and I walked over and held out my arms, well aware of what she wanted me for.

She draped the dresses she had selected for Nell over my arms. A deep, alluring maroon, a dark, viridian green, vibrant royal blue, and finally, one as black as night.

“I would stick to this color palette,” she said, eyeing Nell again. “With your complexion, I don’t want you to get washed out. But, if you see something in another style that you like, let me know, and we’ll see what we can work with.”

Nell nodded at her, staring at the woman with obvious awe, but Kat just flitted away.

She walked to the front of the store. She flipped the sign to “CLOSED,” something she always did for her repeat customers, wanting them to get a full, private experience. Then she walked back across the store and disappeared behind a door.

“Her workroom is back there,” I explained, amused at Nell’s expression.

“I’m not sure if I’m in awe of her or terrified of her. Maybe a little bit of both,” Nell said reverently.

“That’s a pretty normal response to Kat, to be honest.” I shifted the dresses in my hands and held them up for her to see. “I guess it’s time to try them on.”

She turned her attention to me and then nodded. I walked past her, making my way to the dressing room and hanging the gowns up on one of the closing racks in the room.

“Yell for me if you need help,” I grinned as I walked past her, wiggling my eyebrows suggestively.

Nell rolled her eyebrows at me, and I chuckled as I sat down in one of the stuffed chairs across from the door. I settled into it, making myself comfortable so that I could relax and enjoy the show.

I could hear her on the other side of the curtain, the sound of fabric swishing and Nell cursing as she tried to strip off her clothes and step into the new dresses. A moment later, the curtain pulled back, and my breath left me entirely as she stepped forward.

She had on the deep green gown, the dark hues perfectly complimenting her red hair. Nell smiled at me, an uncharacteristically shy smile tugging up her lips as she raised her arms and twirled with a light giggle. I couldn’t help but smile along with her as she took a moment to enjoy the feeling of the gown.

“What do you think?” She asked hesitantly.

“You...look stunning,” I smiled at her, meaning every word.

She dipped her head as she blushed again before saying she was going to try on all of them and then disappearing behind the curtain again. Each one of them looked more stunning than the last. Each time I thought it would be impossible for the next dress to top the one before, and each time I was proven wrong.

When she disappeared behind the curtain of the dressing room a final time, I was all but sold on the maroon piece. The way the wine-colored fabric had looked against her pale skin had me hardening in my jeans immediately, and I couldn’t imagine a dress better made for her.

But then, when she stepped out again, the black dress dipping down between her breasts, the fabric clinging to her torso, shining faintly like an oil slick before loosening and pooling down around her feet, my mouth popped open in awe.

There were no words to describe how perfect she looked, like someone had plucked a fantasy directly from my head and breathed it to life.

“I think this is it,” she said while she beamed at me, utterly oblivious to the fact that she had entirely stolen my breath and had me feeling shaken to my core.

“I think you’re right,” I answered, and I was glad when she didn’t seem to notice that my voice was thick and husky with desire.

I squirmed uncomfortably as my cock pressed hard against my jeans, shifting myself so she wouldn’t notice my erection as she admired herself in the mirror, turning this way and that.

“I’m obsessed with this fabric,” she mused, and I watched with something in between horror and arousal as she ran her hands over the bodice of the gown.

It was impossible not to imagine my own hands following the same path, the way it would feel to have her breath hitch underneath my fingertips. I remembered the small moans she had made that day in her apartment when I’d placed her on the kitchen table, and I wondered what it would be like to make her make them again.

She grinned back at me, still oblivious to the raging fire going on.

“I’m gonna change, but honestly, I don’t think we need to keep looking.”

I just nodded, not trusting my words, as she turned and walked toward the dressing room.

I glanced toward the door Kat had disappeared behind, and before I could stop myself or give myself any time to think about it further, I pushed myself up off the chair and followed after Nell.

She had just closed the curtain when I pulled it open and stepped in after her.

She whirled, surprise written plainly over her beautiful face.
