He couldn’t meet my eyes when he told me, so I was still not a hundred present that was true. If he had someone else making desserts, his dick would be getting real friendly with his hand, I don’t care how cute he looked when he did those puppy dog eyes.
Usually, you could hear music pour out of the bar, but I guess since it was a closed party they hadn’t started. I didn’t even make it three steps into the bar when the lights came on and everyone I knew and loved yelled,
“SURPRISE!”
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
I looked down at my watch and sure enough, the date looking back at me was my birthday. I totally forgot.
Micah was the first to reach me. “I honestly didn’t think we’d be able to pull it off. You’ve been so spacey lately with the new café, It wasn’t until this morning that I realized you didn’t even know it was your birthday.” He pulled me into his arms and kissed me sweetly.
When we parted, he moved aside and Asher filled the space, enveloping me in his arms, kissing me too. He broke the kiss, looking down at me before he said, “Firefly you okay.”
I must have had a dazed expression written across my face, because I truly had no clue my guys were throwing me a party.
Asher glanced back at Micah with a smirk as he said, “Dude I think we finally made her speechless.”
They did one of their stupid bro high fives, kind after they tag teamed me in bed. I rolled my eyes and laughed. “I love you guys.”
Micah took up the space at my back, wrapping his arms around my waist and Asher cradled my face in his large hands, before they both said, “We love you too.”
