He kept it light and teasing, though his heart was pounding. He knew the answer, but he just wanted to hear it.

James pulled back and looked at him, blinking in confusion. Which was not the reaction Elio had expected.

Finally James leaned back in, mouth pressing against his ear. “Elio, baby boy… I guess I never said it, did I?”

Elio shook his head. “You didn’t.”

James nodded. “You didn’t either.” It wasn’t accusing. More… hesitant.

“I wanted to give you time.”

Sitting on a picnic bench, surrounded by family, was the last place he wanted to have this conversation. They should be alone in a tent. Or better yet, out in the woods somewhere, alone under the stars.

He tugged at James’s hand and they both rose. Elio led them up past their campsite, then deeper into the darkness of the woods. He pushed James up against a tree, caging him in—because that was where he belonged, and it was like he couldn’t help himself with all the memories around this place—before licking and biting across his lips.

James moaned, clutching at Elio’s hips.

“Say it,” Elio demanded.

“I love you, Elio De Luca.”

Elio felt like he could fly. He’d dreamed those words, said and heard them a thousand times in his head, but nothing could compete with the real thing. His man loved him. God, it was amazing.

Of course, he needed to say it back. As quickly and as often as possible. “I love you, Daddy. So much.” He kissed him again. And again. Just because he could. “You’ve made me the happiest man in the world tonight. How are you feeling?”

“Excited. Nervous. God, I know it won’t be anything like Catherine, and I completely trust you. You’re probably a better dad than I am, but… Elio, you really want this?”

“Sweetheart, I’ve been waiting a whole year for you to be ready. Mikey’s been asking me for months when I’m going to start living with you guys.”

James laughed. “Really? I didn’t even talk about it with them until two days ago.”

“Yeah.”

“I suppose that makes sense. Galaxy has this whole sequence of steps in their head, which apparently we’ve been following. They’re going to be so pissed that I asked you first, but, well… If you said no, I didn’t want it to be in front of the kids.”

Elio nuzzled against his neck, pressing kisses anywhere his mouth landed. He was bubbling with joy, and it had to spill over somewhere. “There was never a chance of that.”

“I’ll set them up to ask you, then. Should we head back?” James asked, but his fingers were still flexing and digging into Elio’s hips.

“Oh, no, Daddy. No one’s going to miss us for a while.” Elio popped the button on James’s jeans and dragged down the zipper, thrusting his hand inside to meet hot, hard flesh. He yanked fast, with no finesse.

“Baby…” James panted.

“Shhhhhh, Daddy. We don’t want anyone else to hear what a dirty slut you are for me. They don’t need to hear how you can’t control yourself when I’m using your dick.” He pulled a clean handkerchief from his back pocket, wadded it up, and pressed it to Daddy’s mouth. He opened without complaint.

Gorgeous. So perfectly submissive.

Elio kissed him over the handkerchief—messy and cottony, too dry but already growing damp, sure to make his Daddy feel debauched and powerless.

He could still hear James’s whimpers.

“You’re going to give me your orgasm now, but I have more planned for you later tonight.”

James moaned behind the cloth, his eyes wide and needy.

Elio yanked up James’s shirt, licked across his chest, and then bit down hard, earning a muffled shout. Daddy was going to wear his marks tonight. “I’m going to leave you so bruised you won’t be able to move without feeling me,” he promised darkly.

Elio bit again, and again. He was leaving patterns, bright strings of jewels mapped all over Daddy’s torso. All the while, he stroked relentlessly, one hand tight on James’s shaft, the other palm circling the sensitive head.
