She bounced excitedly in my arms as she chanted his name and made grabby fingers in the air.
Ares’ heart unveiled, his smile pure, he reached for her and curled her into his chest.
“I think my ovaries just exploded.”
“What?” He barked out a laugh. “What did you say?”
“My ovaries.” I settled back on the bed on my side to watch them. “They exploded.” I wagged my finger between him and Sia. “You with her. It’s beautiful. Makes me want another baby.”
“You want more kids?” He asked, a hint of wariness in his gaze.
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Depends on the guy, I guess. And how old I am at the time.” I shrugged again. “If the timing was right, I wouldn’t mind.”
His forehead furrowed.
I snorted. “Don’t worry. I’m not going to harvest your semen for breeding purposes.”
He shook his head in wry amusement. “Harvest my semen? You’re nuts.”
“Actually,” I pointed at him. “It would by your nuts.” I wagged my eyebrows and broke out the finger guns.
“Finger guns,” he mocked.
I cast him a sly look. “I know they’re not as fast as you, fastest draw in the west.”
“I made it up to you! Twice!” he protested.
I sighed deeply in mock display. “You can never replace the first time.”
“Mm-hmm,” he replied. “And you went off like a shot.”
“Months of foreplay, Ares. Months.”
He smirked. “Easy date. I’ve barely taken you out for dinner.”
I cocked my head to the side. “Oh, my gawd! That’s true.” I slapped his arm lightly. “The Hitman strikes again.”
“You’re going to get it,” he warned.
I grinned and nodded toward Sia. “Not likely.”
“Oh, it’s happening,” he promised darkly.
“I’ll hold you to it,” I chirped. “Is there any food in this place? I’m starving.”
