The rumors made everything worse.

All of that I could easily shove aside though.

My worries of what others said about me were zero.

I only had one thing on my mind.

One person.

Fiona.

I had strict orders to stay away from her.

From Remi himself.

A clear warning that if I went anywhere near her, he would kick my ass.

I wasn’t even sure if Remi could kick my ass or not.

I really didn’t care either.

I had to see Fiona.

I had to check up on her.

Throughout the years of being best friends with Remi, I mastered how to sneak in and out of his house.

There were a variety of times and reasons for that.

Good times, mostly.

Now I had to sneak in to get to Fiona.

That meant climbing up onto the first roof and inching my way across to her bedroom window.

Then knocking on her window without scaring her to the point where she screamed and I would be in really big trouble.

I mean, either way, I was in big trouble.

I almost got Remi’s sister killed.

I almost killed Fiona.

Sneaking around with her behind Remi’s back.

Driving like an idiot because I was pissed off.

Losing control of my car…

The accident replayed over and over.

I couldn’t stop it.

It was just there.

All the time.

Even when I got to their house.
