“So you’re staying here two nights?”

His jaw tightened. “We play them again. So we’re staying here two nights. That okay with you, Fi?”

“Sounds lovely to me,” I said. I inched back on the bed and sat up against a large, squishy pillow. I put my hands behind my head. “I can get used to this.”

“Fiona…”

“Griffin,” I said.

He let out a long sigh.

Annoyed with me.

Which was fine.

If he got too frustrated with me, all I had to do was get naked.

I did not expect Riff to launch himself onto the bed.

When he did, I let out a gasp.

This massive man of hockey muscle flying through the air.

Hitting the bed so hard, my body jumped.

He shuffled up the bed, on his forearms, staring at me.

It was the hottest I ever saw him look.

Ever.

He stared up at me with those sexy eyes and that cocky smirk.

“Still mad that I’m here?” I asked.

“Very. This is stupid. And way too risky.”

“Nobody is going to catch us here.”

“You said the same thing about staying at my condo,” he said. “Remember how that went?”

“No, Riff. Remind me.”

Riff rolled to his back. “Let’s see… you couldn’t sit still for a second. You ended up meeting some artist. And then you got caught by your brother’s wife…”

“Eh. That wasn’t anything bad. No big deal. Nobody got hurt.”

Riff looked at me. “Fi, this is really dangerous.”

I slumped down. “Are you afraid of my brother?”

Riff curled his lip. “No. And that’s not fair to do. To use emotion to get your way.”

“Want me to just use my body instead?”

“I’d prefer it that way to be honest.”

“Okay. Perfect. When’s the next hockey game?”
