I smiled. “You really have no filter, Fi.”
“Nope,” she said. “Your breath smells in the morning.”
“You know, that’s not a good thing for you.”
“I know. I have to smell it.”
“No, Fi. I mean… I was between your legs last night. My tongue making you forget how to speak. Remember that?”
Her eyes popped open. “What exactly are you implying?”
“I’m just saying… I thought everything tasted delicious. But now? I’m not so sure…”
“This is why I refuse to have a man in my life,” she said. “You’re all pervs.”
She started to roll away from me but I pulled her closer.
I turned to my right side.
Fiona was on her left.
She had this cute little thing she did where she made a fist with her left hand and tucked it under her chin. That was how I knew she was completely comfortable and relaxed.
No chance of us getting caught either.

Not with Remi dealing with his shoulder.
“I’m going to kiss you right now, Fi,” I said.
“For what?”
“Just because I feel like it. It’s all part of the moment, right? Waking up next to the person you fucked the night before.”
“Do you always kiss your one-night stands? If so, that causes confusion. That’s why you have woman issues. You lead their hearts on.”
“I don’t kiss anyone,” I said. “But I want to kiss you. Because I know you won’t get that crazy look in your eyes.”
“What one? The one where your lips against mine cause my ovaries to swell and my heart to race and my brain to think of every romantic moment between us for the next fifty years?”
“That’s the one.”
Fiona curled her lip. “That sounds horrible. Want to know what I’m thinking about?”
