I take a drink of my beer and I’m ready for a fight.

I grab Anna’s hand and make a run for the door.
The two guys block me off and each grab for me.
I push Anna back and have no choice but to fight.
By the time I get Anna and myself out of the bar, I’m bleeding, but that’s okay.
I’ve put three grown men on their knees.
Anna and I run away from the bar, hand in hand.
The more distance we put between ourselves and the bar, the happier we start to get.
She’s drunk.
I’m buzzed.
We finally stop and I grab her and pick her up.
She touches my face. “You’ve got a cut on your cheek.”
“That’s okay.”
“You didn’t have to do that, Joe. You’re crazy, you know that?”
“I’ll always defend you, baby. No matter what! I’ll always love you, Anna. Nothing will ever-”
“Wake up, big boy,” a voice whispered in my ear.
The I heard a groan.
My eyes popped open and I saw Rome hovering over me.
He puckered his lip. “Need a kiss to wake up the prince?”
I lifted my left hand and clocked him in the jaw.
He fell back and let out a yell.
“I bit my tongue!” Rome yelled. “You’re an asshole, Joe!”
I stood up and looked around.
The private jet had landed.
“You okay?” Henry asked me.
“Yeah. Fine. Didn’t need to be woken up like that.”
“You’re just mad because my voice was making you stiff,” Rome said.
