I reach out to pull her into my arms, crushing her body against mine. The heat of our kiss surpasses anything I’ve ever felt before; it’s as if all my emotions have become too much to bear, and only by giving in to this overwhelming passion can I find peace.

We strip at light speed and fall onto the bed with fierce hunger and urgency. My hands slide across her body like wildfire, and I can feel the heat radiating from her skin. I fumble for a condom and slide it on in record time.

When I sink into her, it’s a fucking revelation. I let out an animalistic growl into her mouth, then duck my head to kiss her neck. I can’t help taking her soft skin between my teeth, and she sucks in a sharp breath, then slams her hips up to meet my thrust. I almost come right then. But I’m not ready for this to be over.

I pause, holding myself above her, cock poised to slam back into her. “You’re the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen,” I say, and she wriggles, trying to encourage me to move. She stretches to kiss my cheek, and it’s the absolute cutest shit. Fuck prolonging this—I need to make her come.

I flip us so I’m sitting up and she’s on my lap with her tits in my face. She starts rocking against me, and I pull one perfect nipple between my teeth and tug, biting down just hard enough that she throws her head back with a cry of pleasure, while I drag my thumb over the other one. I slide my free hand between us and find her clit, tracing gentle circles over it to the rhythm of my mouth and my cock.

“Ah,” she chokes out. “Fuck, just like that.” The sound of her voice, all hoarse and throaty with lust while she rides me, has me ready to explode, and when I feel the waves of orgasm start to roll through her, I come along for the ride, emptying myself and groaning against her nipple. It feels like everything inside me is unraveling, spinning out of control. Sadie is a dangerous addiction, and I’m willing to risk it all just to keep her in my life. I want this every fucking day until I die.

We lie wrapped in each other’s arms, the sweat on our skin cooling in the night air drifting in through the open window. Sadie rests her head on my chest, her breathing finally slowing down. I stroke her hair absentmindedly with one hand and the side of her breast with the other, feeling a sense of peace settle over me.

But the hunger in my stomach reminds me that we haven’t eaten in hours. Reluctantly, I disentangle myself from Sadie’s embrace and slide out of bed, pulling on my jeans. “I’m going to run out and grab us some food,” I tell her. “You stay here, just like that.”

Sadie nods, her eyes heavy with sleep. “Be careful,” she murmurs, pulling the sheets up to her chin.

“I will,” I promise, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead. “And don’t answer the door while I’m gone, okay?”

She gives me a small smile, her eyes already drifting closed. “Okay.”

I grab my jacket and slip out of the room, making sure the door clicks all the way shut behind me. The night air is cool and refreshing as I head toward the all-night diner a few blocks away.

The diner is quiet, with only a few late-night customers occupying the booths. I order our food to go, my mind already racing back to Sadie, eager to return to her side. As I wait for the food, I find myself fidgeting with my jacket, the anticipation of being with her again making me restless.

Finally, with the food in hand, I head back to the motel, the night sky above me filled with stars. The streets are deserted, the only sounds coming from the distant hum of traffic and the occasional bark of a dog. But as I approach the motel, a car speeds past me, its tires screeching on the asphalt, and a cloud of dust swirling in its wake.

Something about the car sets off alarm bells in my mind, and a feeling of dread washes over me. Without hesitation, I do a U-turn and follow the car, my pulse quickening as my instincts tell me that something is very wrong.

As I pull up alongside the speeding car, my heart drops into my stomach. The backseat is dimly lit by the streetlights, and through the window, I catch a glimpse of Sadie. Her hands are bound, a gag over her mouth, and her eyes wide with terror. Panic and fury rise inside me like a raging fire, and I speed up, determined to force the car to pull over.

I swerve through the empty streets, honking my silly little bike horn and flashing my headlights, trying to get the attention of the driver and force them to stop. Biting back nausea, I focus on keeping up with the car, knowing I need to act fast to rescue Sadie. As we race down the road, I seize an opportunity to act, positioning my bike alongside the car.

In a bold move, I swerve into their lane, forcing the driver to choose between colliding with me and veering off the road. The driver slams on the brakes and swerves, ultimately running the car off the road and into a ditch. The impact is jarring, but I don’t waste a moment, disentangling myself from my mangled Harley and running to Sadie.

My hands shake as I unbind her, my heart aching at the fear in her eyes. “Stay on the other side of the car, okay?” I tell her, my voice firm but gentle. She nods, and I turn my attention to the driver, who’s trying to crawl out of the wrecked vehicle.

I grab him by the collar and drag him out of the car, adrenaline coursing through me. “Who the fuck are you?” I demand.

The man’s eyes dart back and forth, fear and uncertainty clouding his face. “Viper,” he stammers. “I was taking her to Viper.”

My grip on him tightens as anger surges through me. “Where?” I growl, forcing him to meet my gaze.

He hesitates for a moment before rattling off an address. My fists ache to rain blows on this piece of shit until he’s nothing but a bloody smear in the gravel, but I don’t want Sadie to watch me kill someone. I shove him away, my eyes never leaving his face. “If you ever come near her again, you won’t live long enough to regret it,” I warn him, my voice cold and full of menace.

I carry her back to the motel, where Sadie’s coworker looks at us with concern, her eyes widening at the sight of Sadie’s black eye, her shoeless feet. “Are you okay?” she asks, her voice full of worry. “Did he—“ I glower at her for the mere suggestion that I could ever hurt Sadie, who interrupts before I can. “No,” she insists. “It wasn’t him. It’s complicated, Shell. It’s related to the robbery.”

Michelle’s eyes flick to me, then back to Sadie. She looks stricken. “The back exit alarm went off earlier. I thought it was just a guest leaving. I’m so sorry.”

Sadie squeezes my hand and offers Michelle a weak smile. “It’s not your fault. Everything’s okay now.” With that, we head to our new room, where I gently tuck Sadie into bed, doing my best to comfort her. As I watch her, my priorities shift, and I realize that my focus needs to be on her safety. But I can’t do it alone.

I need the help of the Cascade Reapers. They’re not just my brothers; they’re a goddamn force of nature. Together, we can protect Sadie and deal with Viper and the Iron Serpents. There’s no way I’m letting them get away with what they’ve done tonight.

Picking up my phone, I dial Brick’s number, my fingers tapping nervously on the edge of the bed. The line rings a few times before he answers.

“Hey, man,” I say, trying to keep my voice steady. “I need your help sooner than expected. Can you bring the crew down to Packwood?”
