“It’s been a while since I cooked,” she had replied. “I miss it.”

So, she slinked off, leaving me alone to pump iron. Sweat trickles down my bare arm as I do a rep of lunges while holding the dumbbells. I feel that kick in my muscles, a sign that the workout is hitting the right spots. After grabbing a bottle of water next to me and taking a long swig, I get up and towel my face.

I peel off my gym outfit and take a quick shower. Jets of water cleanses my skin and make me feel fresh. I step out and head to the kitchen, where Aurora is busy using her culinary skills.

She has ditched her gym wear for a simple slip dress with an apron over it. The aroma of fried chicken fills the air and tingles my nose. I walk up to her from behind and curl my arm around her. Her auburn hair smells like roses. I feather kisses up her exposed neck. She wiggles her butt against my dick.

“Careful, you’ll wake the tiger up.” I tease.

“I don’t mind after we eat.

She hands me a piece of chicken, and I bite into it, savoring the flavor. This girl knows her stuff.

“It’s good.”

“Yeah, it’s my secret recipe.”

“My chef has some catching up to do.”

“I’ll happily teach.”

I lean close and plant a kiss on her forehead. Even with the refreshing smell of the chicken, I still smell Aurora's fragrance. She has taken over my consciousness so much that I can't begin to wonder what it will be like to live without her.

"Food's ready," Aurora sings out. I carry one of the food trays, and we head to the dining table together.

We sit together and begin to eat. I bite into the chicken and nod to the awesome taste. We don't say much to each other, perhaps too busy enjoying the meal. From the nearby window, I see a flash of lightning, followed by a loud thunderclap.

“Sounds like a good time to let the tiger out after all.” Aurora winks.

“Great idea.” The thought of cuddling up with Aurora on a rainy night fills me with nothing but desire.

We soon get through our meal and head to the kitchen together to do the dishes. The thunderclaps become more frequent, and it feels almost certain that there will be a heavy downpour that night. The air is cold, and the wind taps on the window like the knocks of an old man. I help Aurora arrange plates in the rack. Ready to settle in for the night.

A knock sounds on the door, and I know right away it’s not the wind. It can’t be that loud. I turn around to kiss Aurora before walking out of the kitchen.

“Who’s there?”

“It’s me, man.” It’s Frank. I don’t need to listen twice to know.

“Just a minute.” I hurry back to the kitchen and tell Aurora my business partner is at the door. “Don’t worry, I’ll try to get him away as quickly as possible.”

“How long do we have to do this?”

“Babe, please.”

“Fine.” Aurora nods and heads upstairs.

I wait until I hear the door close then I go over to let Frank in. He has dark shades on, and his body reeks of alcohol. Before I can say a word, he brushes past me, walks into the living room, and looks around.

“What?” I ask.

“That’s my question. What the hell is up with you man?”

“Calm down. You’re drunk.”

Frank shakes his head and looks me in the eye. “No, I’m not. I’m tired of your disappearing act. We have a business to run.”

“Can’t this wait until our next meeting? I’m working on a project.” Which is our usual code for mafia business. It’s better when he doesn’t know the details.
