If only Vulcan knew Tristano and I were over, he probably would have accepted the money and let my family be. But that's too late.

I have no idea where they're driving me to, but I know I've been in this position for more than seven hours. A clear indication they're taking me far away. Away from the world where nobody will find me.

My stomach tightened in fear when I imagined what they could do to me. They could sell me off or kill me. Neither of the options is good. I have to be strong for myself and the baby. I won't let anyone hurt me again. "Tristano or no Tristano, I've got to rescue myself," I mutter confidently.

I run my hands through the bunch of items around me. My hands touch a tape and more anger wells inside me. It was the tape they used in tying me up.

"What the hell am I going to do with a duct tape? Fuck!"

I'm resolved not to give up. I run my palm over a piece of metal, and I feel hopeful for a moment. But it turns out to be a reflective triangle. What can I do with it? It's not strong enough to serve as a weapon against Vulcan's men.

Purposefully, I push it aside and continue with my search. Finally, I find a Jumper cable. My stomach bubble with joy when I feel the sharp clip head. At least, with enough time, I can get rid of the tape around my hand.

Quickly, I detach the clip head from the cable, pressing the sharp edges to the tape around my hands.

Instantly, the car stops, and I hear the door shut. My heart flutters, and quickly, I shove the clip inside my back pocket. Fresh air fills my throat as he opens the car trunk. It's already evening. We're in the middle of nowhere. The only thing I see ahead is a large van parked in an open field.

"If you try anything stupid. I'll blow off your retarded brain." He yanks me out of the trunk, hauling me toward the van. On the one hand, I'm afraid, but on the other, I'm sure I'll get out of this mess. He swings open the doors, and my eyes bulge when I see young girls with trembling lips and cheeks– more than a dozen– tied up.

"Get in, bitch. This time nobody is coming for you." The guy with the ginger beard hauls me inside the truck.

"Try anything silly and you'll be dead." He slams the door shut. The air in the van is filled with terrible odor and cold sweat, a clear indication that the girls have been kidnap for several days—maybe months.

Quickly, I sit down and pull out the clip, cutting off the tape as fast as possible. Within five minutes, my hands are free. I want to free the girls, but I must ensure my safety first.

Quietly, I push the door open and spring on guard. With my hands covering his eyes, I coil my feet around his waist and stab his neck with the clip head. Blood pumps out of his neck, and I jump down, watching him groan while massaging his bloody neck.

Abruptly, a series of bullet sounds in the air, and I look behind. About five cars stop around, with men trooping out. I'm not sure I understand what this fight is all about, but I need to save the girls first.

Without hesitation, I open the van's door. "Get out now. You're free. Run." The girls scamper out of the van one after the other while the bullets keep flying in the air. I feel a hand grip my hand. My blood runs cold on the spot. Damn it, Vulcan has found me again.

With trembling cheeks, I spin around, and my mouth falls open when I see Tristano.

"You came for me." With the glee of a child, I spring on him, and he grabs me.

"I will never leave you, baby." he speaks, embracing me so tight.

I grab his head with both hands and take his lips with delight, ignoring the bullets flying everywhere.

"Come on, let's go," he says after withdrawing. Quickly, we walk to his car with him forming a shield around me. Eventually, my hero came. Aren't I the most fortunate woman in America?

AURORA

We spenttwelve hours and twenty minutes to arrive at Bora Bora, a gorgeous beach island in France. We arrived last night, and I didn't get to see much of the island due to stress.

The morning atmosphere is perfect, with immaculate clouds formed in the blue sky. We lodged in a bungalow with a thatched roof, built on the azure water. The floor is made of transparent glass, allowing a clear view of the blue water, sandy beach, and purple coral reefs. "Wow! This is beautiful."

I've never gone beyond New York, so this part of the world looks like a fantasy setting to me. It feels like a world of romance and bliss. The air is soul-refreshing, and the tranquil ambiance has successfully helped me overcome the series of attacks I experienced in the past couple of months.

After showering, I wear a white gown with my hair loose on my shoulders. My baby bump isn't out yet since the pregnancy is just seven weeks old. But that doesn't stop the feeling that a life is growing inside me. And the constant dizziness and hotness have been on the high increase for the past two weeks.

The pregnancy symptoms have made me conclude that being pregnant is the toughest situation a woman could experience. At times, it seems as if my inside is boiling, and the urge to sleep inside a pool becomes so overwhelming.

Sometimes I have crazy food cravings, while other times, I want to sleep for days. The worst part of it is the wild libido. The urge to constantly get it on is on the high increase. Right now, the hunger is even worse.

I woke up this morning without Tristano next to me, but his letter said he'd be back in a while. I walk out of the room, heading to the balcony. In front of the balcony is a stretch of ocean that goes as far as the eyes can see, with coconut trees lined at every angle.
