“Fine,” he says. “But we don’t stop here.”

He rings up the purchase, and we leave. We cross multiple stores, and he keeps pointing at things, but I say no.

Then, we reach La Perla. As we stand outside the store, Felix turns to me with a mischievous grin.

“You know what this store is for, don’t you?” he asks, winking at me.

I nod, rolling my eyes. “I wasn’t born yesterday, you know?”

Felix chuckles. “There’s that wisecrack Emily I know so well. I want to see you in something sexy. What do you think about that?”

I look at him and nod, feeling mischievous. This seemed fun.

My face turns beet red as we step inside. The store is filled with lacy thongs, bras, and teddies in various shades of black and red.

I suddenly feel so out of place in here, but Felix seems to be in his element.

He picks out a few items and hands them to me.

“Go try them on, princess,” he says, giving me a playful wink.

I head to the fitting room, feeling excited and nervous. I try on the first item, a lacy black thong and matching bra set.

I step out of the fitting in the curtained area cordoned off for partners, and Felix’s eyes light up.

“You look stunning,” he murmurs, approaching me and tracing a finger along the edge of the bra.

“But something’s missing.”

Before I can even ask, he’s handing me a sheer black robe that flows around me like a silk river.

I slip it on and feel like I’ve been transported to another world.

Felix’s eyes darken with desire as he looks at me, and I can feel my heart rate skyrocket.

“Come on,” he says, taking my hand. “Let’s go pay for this.”

“Don’t you think I should change first?” I ask, grinning.

Felix shakes his head, a devilish glint in his eyes.

"No way, principessa. You look too good to cover up. Plus, I want everyone to see who you belong to.”

“Yeah, right,” I say, giving him a playful smack on his arm and heading back to change. We buy the lingerie and walk out of La Perla, hand in hand.

“What next?” he asks. “What can I buy you?”

“Felix, that’s really enough,” I say, feeling overwhelmed.

“Come on, let’s go home.”

“No,” he says, like a child, crossing his arms and looking down at me with a frown.

He looks so sheepish I begin to laugh.

“Fine,” I say, ready to play his game. “You really want to buy me something?”

“Uh-uh,” he says.
