Her eyes dart between me and the door through which the enforcers have left.

"Please, Felix," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "I can explain."

"Explain?" I echo incredulously, my mind racing with a million thoughts.

Anger, betrayal, confusion – they all swirl within me in a volatile mix, threatening to explode at any moment.

How could she have lied to me like this?

"After all the lies you've spewed, you're a fool to think I'd believe your explanations," I snap, crossing my arms over my chest, daring her to justify her deception.

She takes a deep breath, her eyes filling with tears.

"Tell me," I say, and for a brief second, I observe a flicker of hope in her eyes, but then it dies with my following words.

"Did you enjoy hiding under a fake name and playing house with the enemy?" I retort, my voice laced with sarcasm.

The irony of the situation is almost laughable.

"Please," Rosalie's voice breaks, and I can see the desperation in her eyes.

"I never meant for any of this to happen. I didn't mean for it to unravel like this. I wanted to tell you everything, but I feared losing you. I'd already fallen for you."

"Fallen for me," I scoff, my heart aching at her confession.

As much as I want to believe her, I can't trust her anymore, not after everything that's happened.

And yet, deep down, I can't deny that I still feel something for her.

I shoot her a glance, torn between anger and my lingering feelings for her.

The sight of her desperation and fear claws at something deep inside me.

But she's betrayed me, deceived me from the very beginning.

Do I even have the right to trust her anymore?

"Emily," I say, my voice harsh. "Rosalie. Whatever your name is. I don't want to hear another word out of you."

"Wait! Felix, please, just let me explain," she pleads, reaching out for me.

Her eyes, those same grey eyes that held so many secrets, are filled with tears.

"I never meant to hurt you."

"Enough!" I roar, taking a step back, away from her touch.

"You've said enough. Get out of here before I change my mind and ensure you never leave this place again. The next time we see each other, we will be enemies, not lovers.”

"Felix, just hear me out for five minutes; that's all I ask."

"Go pack your things," I tell her, my voice devoid of emotion.

"I'm going back to the party. You have an hour to go back, pack and leave my house. If I come back and find you still here, I won't hesitate to have you killed."

Rosalie flinches at my words, but she doesn't protest.

Instead, she nods slowly, her gaze filled with hurt and resignation.
