The fact that they've given me an option makes me think my mother sent them.

I have an innate desire to leave him a note and tell him everything, but I've lost all faith.

What if he doesn't forgive me but uses the note to hunt me down and take our baby from me?

The man I truly trusted- my father - betrayed me.

Why would a man who entered my life less than a year earlier be by my side upon hearing my truth?

I've seen nothing but betrayal in my life.

I believe nothing but betrayal will follow the rest of it too.

Finally, with a racing heart and tearful eyes, I slip out of the estate under the cover of darkness, driven by my desire to survive and start anew.

As we step into the unknown, I cling to the hope that somewhere out there, a better life awaits us, me and my baby – one free from the ghosts of our pasts.

"Goodbye, Felix," I whisper as I call a cab, get into it, and it drives away, the mansion disappearing into the night.

"I'll never forget you."

And with that, my baby and I embark on our journey into the uncertain future, leaving behind the lives we once knew and praying for the strength to forge a new path.

With my heart pounding, I sit at the back of the car and focus on the road ahead.

The night's darkness stretches before me like a vast, uncharted ocean.

I can't help but feel a sense of dread as we drive further away from Felix, from the life that might have been.

But I have to keep going for my unborn child and myself.

"The docks, miss?" the driver asks from the front seat, his voice wavering just enough to betray his concern at my emotional state.

"Yes," I admit, my eyes flicking between the road and him.

"The docks. Someone there waits for me."

"Alright," he says, his voice steadier now.

"Whatever you say, miss."

"Thank you," I reply, resting my hands on my belly.

Without fail, I remind myself that I must get to a doctor to have my baby checked out.

As we continue driving through the night, my thoughts spiral with worry and doubt.

What if Felix changes his mind and comes after us?

What if the enforcers aren't really working for my mother?

The questions gnaw at me, threatening to consume me whole.

The docks illuminate the spot where the enforcers had told me to meet them.

As I pull into the deserted parking lot, my pulse races.

As soon as the car comes to a stop, I step out into the cold night air, shivering as I make my way toward the meeting spot.
