"Please, Hunter, don't do this," I beg, tears streaming down my face.

But each word only seems to fuel his rage further.

"Silence!" he roars, the sound echoing through the room.

His eyes are wild, his face contorted with anger.

He grabs my wrists and twists them painfully behind my back.

"You will learn to stay quiet or suffer the consequences."

I bite my lip, trying to hold back any further screams or protests.

I can't tell him about my secret - the baby growing inside me.

What he could do if he finds out is too horrifying to bear.

My heart hammers as Hunter's cruel words slice through the air like a knife.

"So, you think you can get away from marrying me? I'll use you until you can't take it anymore, Rosalie," he threatens, his voice dripping with venom.

"Until you wish I'd just kill you and get it over with."

His hand grips my arm tightly, forcing me to look into his cold, merciless eyes.

I want to scream, to fight back, but my body refuses to cooperate.

My legs feel weak, and my vision blurs as tears fill my eyes.

"Please," I whisper, my voice shaking with terror. "Don't do this."

He smirks at my pitiful plea, and I realize that my fear only feeds his sadistic desires.

"You brought this on yourself when you ran away from me," he growls.

"You thought you could hide from your past, from me? Did you really think I would let you go that easily?"

I tremble under his menacing gaze, feeling more vulnerable than ever before.

He's right – I should have known better than to think I could escape the life I was born into.

"Listen to me, Rosalie," Hunter says, his voice low and dangerous.

"You are mine. You always were, and you always will be. There's no escaping that fact, so you might as well accept it now."

I give him a weak nod. To keep the peace. To keep my baby safe … until I find an escape.

"Good girl," he says with a sinister smile.

He releases my wrists, and I cradle them, feeling the bruises forming beneath my skin.

"Now, say yes to the wedding."

"Y-yes," I whisper, numb with fear and pain.

I'm afraid my baby can't either.

I can't take the beatings, the torture, the starvation any longer.
