I can't let him take me, not now, not ever. "The Carlisi will hunt you down. Kill you."

"Weak Carlisi men mean nothing to me," Hunter snarls, tightening his grip on the gun.

"This is our destiny. Accept it," he says. From the corner of my eye, I see them.

"Hey, Carlisi!" Hunter shouts, his voice a twisted mix of anger and desperation.

"You think you can just walk into my house and take what's mine right in front of my eyes?"

His words echo through the rain, demanding Felix's attention, though I know my love would never abandon me in such a dire situation.

As if on cue, Felix emerges from the shadows, his dark eyes burning with protective fury.

"Let her go, Hunter," he growls, frustration clear in his voice as the rain pours down around us.

His hands clench into fists at his sides, each muscle tense with the desire to protect me and the life growing within me.

He looks at me, worriedly.

I stare back. I want to run into his arms, but Hunter is holding me back.

"Or what? You'll kill me?" Hunter sneers, tightening his grip on the gun pressed against my temple.

"Go ahead, Don Carlisi. End me. But remember, she dies too."

As I stand there, shivering in the cold rain, I can feel Felix's anger radiating off him like heat from a raging fire.

He wants nothing more than to rip me from Hunter's grasp and keep me safe, but his love for our unborn child is holding him back, making every decision he makes fraught with danger.

The cold rain bites into my skin, contrasting the warmth radiating from Felix's fury.

I can see the determination in his eyes and the way his jaw clenches, preparing for battle.

My heart races, not only for my safety but for our unborn child as well.

"Enough!" Felix snarls at Hunter. "You have no right to force her into anything."

"Ah, but I do," Hunter retorts with an evil smile.

"She was promised to me, remember? It's time she fulfilled that promise."

With that, Hunter throws me to one of his men who holds me in place with a gun to my head and lunges at Felix, initiating a brutal fight that seems to transcend the boundaries of reason.

I watch in horror as they clash, fists flying and blood staining the wet grass beneath them.

My fear fuels me, giving me the courage to scream out loud. "Felix! You have to end this!"

As if my words were the catalyst he needed, Felix summons a new wave of strength.

He dodges Hunter's next attack and lands a devastating blow to his opponent's ribs.

Cracking bone echoes through the air, followed by Hunter's pained gasp.

"Stay away from her!" Felix roars, his eyes blazing with ferocity. "If you come near her or our child again, I will kill you."

I wonder if I should use my karate moves to turn the gun on the man holding it to my head, but I worry that it would draw attention and what if one of Drucci’s men comes to shoot at me?

What if my baby gets hurt. I stay put.
