As I finish tending to her wounds and sit back on the couch beside her, it's clear that the weight of our ordeal still hangs heavy between us.

But despite the challenges we face, I feel determined to love, protect, and redeem myself in the eyes of this extraordinary woman who has captured my heart.

I watch Rosalie's face closely, searching for any signs of discomfort as she settles back against the couch cushions.

"How are you feeling, tesoro? Do you need anything?" My voice is gentle, filled with concern.

"Thank you, Felix," she says softly, her eyes meeting mine. "I'm... I'm okay. Just a little sore."

My heart clenches at the sight of the bruises on her beautiful face.

The rage within me simmers, but I keep it contained – for her sake.

I take her hand in mine, rubbing circles over her knuckles.

"I want you to know how much it means to me that you're carrying our child, Rosalie. It's the most incredible gift you could ever give me. I am so excited to be a father, and I promise to protect both of you with my life."

Emily's eyes fill with tears, and she looks away, biting her lip.

"Why didn't you tell me about the baby earlier, amore mio? We could've faced this together."

She hesitates before answering, her voice barely audible.

"I was afraid, Felix. When I found out just how much you hated Battaglias, I... I thought you'd take the baby away from me, keep them from me because of who my father is."

"Rosalie Battaglia, look at me," I urge, lifting her chin so her eyes meet mine.

"Moving forward, nothing could make me turn my back on you or our child. The sins of your father do not define you, and they will never come between us. You are my everything, and I will love and support you

unconditionally. Trust me. I am nothing like your father."

"Thank you, Felix," she whispers, choking back a sob.

“To be able to love, despite what you’ve seen….” I mumble into her ear.

“You are an epitome of hope, Rose.”

“It wasn’t always easy, you know?” she says. “For me to trust you.”

“I know,” I smile, remembering all the times she fought against me, even when she didn’t have to.

As we sit there, hands entwined, I can't help but marvel at the resilience of this extraordinary woman in my arms.

Despite her pain and the shadows looming over our family, she remains a light in my life.

"Rosalie," I say softly, pressing my forehead against hers, "I will spend the rest of my days making sure you never have to be afraid again."

"I know you will, Felix," she replies, her voice full of hope and trust. "And I'll be by your side every step of the way."

The warmth radiating from her body as we sit here, entwined, is a balm to the storm that has raged inside me for so long.

I can't let her doubt my love for even a moment longer.

"Rosalie," I say, gazing deeply into her eyes,

"I understand why you were afraid to tell me about our baby. But I don't blame you for thinking like that. The truth is, I love you more than anything in this world, and I want you to be my wife."

Her eyes widen in surprise, but she doesn't pull away.
