“Okay ...” I respond, trying my best to control my racing heart.
His face is serious, his eyes looking into mine as though he’s contemplating something based on being able to hear my thoughts.
I wait for him to speak, but he doesn’t. Not for what feels like an eternity, at least.
Unable to handle it any longer, I try and break the tension with a joke:
“You need a passport if you want to go on this journey with me.”
He stares at me in disbelief before shaking his head slightly and crossing his arms over his chest.
“I’m not in the mood for jokes,” he responds flatly.
“This is important, and I think you know that.”
My heart skips a beat as the realization sets in. He was serious and had something important to discuss with me after all.
Taking a deep breath, I nod slowly in acknowledgment and give him my full attention.
Looking into my eyes intently, he spoke the words that would change our relationship forever...

I was stunned, unsure of what to say or do.

With a deep breath, I nodded slowly, not trusting myself to speak.
My heart was pounding hard in anticipation of this newfound opportunity and all the possibilities it held within its grasp.
“What do you say?” He asked softly with a hopeful glint in his eyes - almost as though my answer truly mattered to him.
“I... I... Felix, what can I even do for you?”

“But Felix,” I ask ignorantly, “what would you need me for?”
