“Yes,” I whisper back.

I hang up and take a deep breath, running my hands through my hair. This is it. The moment of truth.

I slip out of the bathroom, tiptoeing towards the door.

Micky is snoring softly on the bed, oblivious to what’s happening around him.

I feel a pang of guilt, but I push it aside.

This is my job.

At last, I hear the soft knock.

I open the door and find three women standing there.

They enter, and I quickly close the door behind me.

“Hey,” I whisper. “I need your help. It’s urgent.”

She raises an eyebrow. “What do you need.”

“I need you to pass these papers to the girls you’re with.

They need to slip them into the bags of their clients.”

The woman nods, taking the papers from my hand. “It’ll be 2000 dollars per client.”

“Done,” I whisper. “That’s thirty copies.”

“Money first,” they say.

I sigh and open my phone, using Felix’s company account to make the transfer.

“Don’t get caught,” I say.

The girls leave first, and I leave ten minutes later.

I walk through the party, my eyes on the girls. I notice them acting nonchalantly. I see one opening her client’s briefcase and putting in the papers. No one else notices. Good.

They’re discreet.

It’s out of my hands now.

I walk out of the house, and down the street, towards the bus stand, where I will call a cab. I don’t want to garner any more attention here by lingering around, waiting for a cab.

Suddenly, I hear someone running up to me. Just as I turn, he places his hands on my waist.

It’s the man I was dancing with before.

“Hey, baby,” he slurs. “How much for some company?”

I shake my head and take a step back.

“No money changes hands tonight,” I say firmly. “I’m off duty,” I say.

“You’re Micky’s girl, aren’t you?” he says, his hands now trying to caress my tits.

I push him back firmly and try walking away.
